Sutton High School is an independent day school. Only girls from 3 to 18 years old are accepted to study here.

The school has received an "excellent" rating from ISI in all categories, and is part of the Girls' Day School Trust, which unites 25 schools in England and Wales.

In Years 7-9, students receive individual educational programs, which include both group and personal lessons. More academically advanced girls also study at lunchtime at the Year 10-11 stages.

As part of the IGCSE English as a Second Language course, foreigners can attend additional lessons so that by the end of the training, all girls are prepared to take the Cambridge English Examinations (these are high-level qualification exams that confirm the language skills required by employers and universities).

Sutton High School Admission Process:

• After secondary school, students are automatically transferred to the Year 7 stage without a preliminary exam.
• New potential students take multiple-choice tests. Their total duration is 80 minutes. The tests cover 3 basic areas: mathematics, understanding of the English language, the level of development of verbal and non-verbal types of thinking.
• Passing an international language exam that will confirm a high level of knowledge of English (required only for foreign students).

There are no entrance tests for future students who want to enter the junior grades: they just need to pass an interview with shs employees, who will assess their readiness for learning, the level of critical thinking and the starting knowledge base.

79% of A-level exam results range from grades A* to B.  80% of Sutton High School graduates in 2024 received invitations to universities that were their No1 on the priority entry list.

Scholarships for Sutton High School students are awarded based on the results of entrance exams or other academic achievements; The financial capabilities of girls' families are also taken into account. Every year, students submit 60 applications for annual scholarships, grants are received by those who meet all the criteria and get into the top of the competitive selection. Academic scholarships range from 5% to 50% of the total tuition fee. The average amount of financial support for schoolgirls is 10%.

Scholarships for other successes are usually paid in the amount of 5-10%, but in rare cases their level reaches 30%. Such payments are assigned for achievements in art, drama, music and sports to girls 11 years old and older.

For students aged 16+, the school offers scholarships in photography and design technology.

There are no financial grants for preparatory classes.
