Brambletye School is a school that offers education for children from 2 to 13 years old both in the daytime and in the format of permanent stay.

The educational institution has more than 100 years of history. Founded in 1919, the school has long specialized in teaching boys. In September 1989, the first girl was admitted to the program, and since then the training has become joint. Now the school is considered one of the most popular for parents, because the services offered in it are numerous: an extensive program of activities, highly qualified teachers, constant support and care, many additional classes, modern campus infrastructure and much more.

Things to know about

The institution has a Forest School, where children study the world around them, develop their horizons, participate in master classes and sports interactives. In the open space, students will learn survival skills, the use of potentially dangerous objects, study different species of plants, animals and fish, and also try field cuisine.

Accommodation, meals, prices

The school offers both full-time and on-campus study. The boarding school is located in the middle of the study area and includes buildings for girls and boys. Excellent conditions have been created for children: double spacious rooms with beds and work desks, common recreation areas, open areas for walking.

Students from grades 3 to 8 stay at school for the whole week, returning home only for the weekend if they wish. The youngest schoolchildren 3-8 years old have the opportunity to spend the night in the building 2-4 nights a week.

The Brambletye School kitchen is staffed by highly qualified staff led by Chef Annabelle. Meals are prepared on a changing menu of fresh and healthy products, and salads and fruits are always available to students throughout the day.  If there are any medical indications, allergies or individual dietary needs, the student's parents should contact the teacher, and the chefs will take this into account.

Activities Brambletye School

The school year at Brambletye School is full of a variety of activities: sports, creative, scientific, charitable activities help the active development of students. One of the largest concerts of the year is the graduation party, which is fully organized annually by students. Also in the calendar are inscribed:

  • Trip to the steam railway,
  • Exploring the Ashtown Forest,
  • Movie nights,
  • Talent show,
  • Discos on roller skates and much more.

Among the sports activities there are such areas as:

  • Bubble Football.

Children will be able to attend rugby and hockey competitions of local and visiting famous teams, including the Premier League.

Every weekend, those students who stay on campus have the opportunity to participate in Saturday matches, the Mad Hatter tea party, and the collective screening of the film. On Sunday morning, after breakfast, guests begin cooking classes: bake, learn to cook sushi or pizza under the guidance of an invited chef. In the evening, children ride mountain bikes, walk through Ashtown Forest and have dinner.

If the birthday of one of the students falls on a school day, parents and teachers gather at the school for a general fun tea party.

Brambletye School has a system of Houses that gently divides students into large groups, and competitions and competitions are organized between students that can teach children teamwork, responsibility, healthy competition and develop self-confidence.

The institution has five minibuses, each of which can be booked. Morning buses arrive at school by 8:00 a.m., departing after school at 5:55 p.m.

Admission dates and extra charges

The school year lasts about 10 months: from September to July. Children have the opportunity to attend classes or stay on campus for accommodation – classes for all begin at 8:15.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

Children can enter the preparatory school at any age, from 2 to 7 years, and in the primary classes - from 7 to 13 years. New students join the class in the autumn, spring or summer semester.

For admission to Brambletye School, it is necessary to provide personal documents of the child and one of the parents, reports from the previous place of study or certificates of specialists (speech therapist, psychologist and others). Classes are held in English, but a serious conversational level is not immediately required - teachers will help in adapting children with any level.

Scholarships Brambletye School

The school provides financial assistance to families who are not able to pay for their own education - provided that the children are exceptionally promising.

Since the institution is private and does not receive funding from the state, scholarships are not provided.
