Upon graduation, international students will receive a globally recognized Ontario high school diploma, apply to universities in Canada or other Western countries on the same terms as local students. Main advantages of the course:

  • Flexible course selection system. In addition to obtaining the compulsory credits required by the Ministry of Education, students can also choose a series of courses based on their interests and experience.
  • The overall grade for each course is calculated by weighing a number of factors:
    • Previous single exams;
    • Midterm exams;
    • Final exams;
    • Homework assignments;
    • Group projects;
    • Essays;
    • Presentations.
  • Education in the 12th grade is associated with preparing students for university studies. Ontario's 12th grade curriculum content is closely related to core university courses: students will gain a preliminary understanding of the core university subjects and be able to adapt more quickly upon arrival.
  • Students are offered courses of varying difficulty levels to ensure that teaching is tailored to the ability and teaching level of the students. For example, English is divided into 4U, 3U, ESLEO, ESLDO, ESLCO, ESLBO and other courses with multiple difficulty levels. Students can create a curriculum that suits their actual situation, especially for intermediate students who can start with less difficult courses to build a solid foundation.
  • Development of students' dedication, a sense of social responsibility. Many of the courses on offer include Civil Rights Grade 10 (CHV2O), Contemporary Society Issues Grade 12 (HSB4M), Environmental and Resource Management (CGR4M), Human Growth and Development. At the same time, the Ontario Department of Education has made at least 40 hours of community volunteer work a prerequisite for a high school diploma.
  • Ontario's high school curriculum system is widely recognized throughout the world, especially in the Commonwealth countries, which is very beneficial for students when applying to universities in the Commonwealth countries and regions. For example, universities in the United Kingdom and Australia are exempt from preparatory courses for all applicants who graduate from Ontario high school and meet certain qualifications; those who graduated from Ontario High School may be exempted from IELTS or TOEFL by applying to National University of Singapore; English language courses in grade 12 gain 70 points.
