1. A single educational period of development, preschool, runs from birth to 6 years. Within the framework of preschool education 2 stages are distinguished: from birth to three years and from three to six years. Pre-school education is not considered compulsory, children are sent to public and private kindergartens at will and necessity. Mostly is teached in the game with peers.

2. Primary and secondary classes. Primary school is a free educational level, the goal of which is to provide education for all children to acquire the necessary skills of reading, writing, numeracy, language skills and sports development. To enter the primary classes, you usually do not need to pass the entrance exams. In Spain, there are no strict requirements for the student: if the teachers did not find the full readiness of the students to learn, then incoming students are advised to come in a year. 4. Bachillerato is another educational step that relates to schooling, but is considered an optional stage. As a rule, students study here who intend to continue their studies in higher educational institutions. The final exams on this two-year course are equivalent to the entrance examinations to the university. Students choose specialization and receive serious education - as a result, they have advantages when entering the university. After successfully passing the exams, students receive a diploma of full secondary education, Título de Bachiller, "Bachelor" (do not confuse with higher education), which entitles you to admission to the university.
