Summer School Program

For the fourth year in a row, the Summer School at St Mary’s University has been organizing a short-term course in “Liberal and Creative Arts” aimed at foreign students. The program allows international students to gain educational experience in England, gradually adapt to studying abroad, and understand whether this university is suitable for them as a higher education institution.

During six weeks, students will attend classes in seven modules:

  1. London Theatre,
  2. Classical Acting,
  3. From the Enlightenment to Romanticism,
  4. Mass Culture, Humanities,
  5. Renaissance,
  6. Gothic,
  7. Globalized London.

Classes for each module are held twice a week and include the study of interdisciplinary topics such as cultural studies, sociology, performance, literature, history, film studies, and others. The basis of the educational process will be lectures, master classes, and seminars, and in addition to them, students can expect exciting excursions, independent work, and group projects.

Throughout all six weeks, students are accommodated in comfortable residence halls, receive three meals a day, and comprehensive support from the center’s staff. These services are already included in the program cost, as well as:
