Southern New Hampshire University is a famous and prestigious university in the USA. Located in the small town of Manchester, an hour's drive from Boston, the Southern New Hampshire University will be a great place for students who prefer comfort, silence and willing to get effective education. 

The history of the university began in 1933. In the sixties, it was renamed the College of Commerce and Accounting. Diplomas of higher education are given by the university since 1963.

Southern New Hampshire University was founded in 1932 as a school of accounting and secretarial science. Today, it is a private, nonprofit university with more than 3,000 students on campus and over 200,000 online students. SNHU has more than 345,000 alumni worldwide.

The university offers more than 200 programs, from certificates to doctoral degrees. Fields of study include business, education, liberal arts, social sciences, and STEM.

Online classes have no set meeting times, and course materials are available around the clock. Students can take one or two courses per term. A dedicated academic advisor helps each student map out a program plan and reviews it before every new term. Career advising is also available.

On-campus programs combine hands-on experience in each student’s field with mentorship from faculty who have industry expertise. From the start of their studies, School of Business students solve challenges for real companies or develop their own business ideas. Students in campus programs can also take some classes online.

75% of students live on campus. Also there is accommodation in residences. Conditions in the hostels are standard. Students are provided with single or double rooms with private facilities. For self-catering, the residence has modern kitchens.

Students can also rent apartments in Manchester. This accommodation option will require large financial costs.

SNHU has more than 70 student clubs and organizations.

The university’s athletic teams compete in NCAA Division II. Students can also join club and intramural teams.

In fall 2024, the Chandler Center completed 39 volunteer projects involving 373 SNHU students, who contributed 5,714 hours.

SNHU’s 300-acre campus is in Manchester, just minutes from downtown and about an hour from Boston, the seacoast, and New Hampshire’s mountain region.

SNHU opened the School of Engineering, Technology and Aeronautics in Paul J. LeBlanc Hall. Students may bring a car to campus with a parking decal.

Online undergraduate programs run in eight-week terms with six start dates each year. Online graduate programs run in ten-week terms with five start dates each year. Campus programs follow traditional 16-week fall and spring semesters.
