SEK International School Riyadh is an international school located in Saudi Arabia. The International Baccalaureate (IB) programs at the preschool and primary school levels are studying here for children aged 3 to 12 years.

Despite the fact that SEK International School Riyadh has opened quite recently, the school is actively developing and awards national, international accreditations. To date, SEK International School Riyadh is accredited to teach preschool and IB PYP programs, and the first admission of students to the middle classes of the IB MYP is expected in the near future.

The multinational student community creates a friendly, diverse atmosphere on campus, thanks to which all children feel comfortable, adapt faster to a new academic environment, make friends with different cultural customs, knowledge of languages. Teachers pay individual attention to each student, supporting him at all stages of education: from the first day at school to entering the university.

The educational process can be organized in one of three formats: full-time, combined or completely remote - this is how SEK International School Riyadh responds to external factors taking place in the country, as well as the conditions established by the Saudi authorities. Any of the formats offers children quality knowledge, safety and an exciting pastime outside of class.

The school teaches children from 3 to 12 years old in the IB PYP preschool and primary school programs. To date, SEK International School Riyadh is a candidate institution for accreditation of subsequent International Baccalaureate programs - after obtaining official permission to teach programs for middle and high school, the IB MYP and IBDP will open at the school.

Students can choose from two daily lunch options:

• A variety of meals served in the school's cafeteria,
• Private meals brought from home.

Both formats are controlled by the school and kitchen staff, SEK International School Riyadh adheres to the rules of healthy eating, the absence of allergens in food.

One of the main directions of the educational process is the comprehensive development of students. Special attention is paid to extracurricular hobbies and interests - excellent conditions have been created on the educational territory for sports, creativity, social activities, participation in regularly organized events.

A variety of activities take place four days a week, immediately after the end of the school day. Students can develop their abilities in sports sections such as football, basketball and volleyball, as well as engage in creativity in theater, music groups, organize concerts, performances and exhibitions.

Leading designers, architects and scientists were involved in the construction of the educational buildings of SEK International School Riyadh, who created a modern environment using environmentally friendly materials, technologies and equipment. The infrastructure includes:

The elements of each classroom are flexible: furniture can be moved and arranged in different ways, seats can be easily assembled in front of a large interactive screen. The large SMART screen installed in almost every classroom is interactive - you can connect a computer, tablet or phone to it.

The academic year consists of three trimesters:

• Autumn: August-December,
• Winter: January-March,
• Spring: April-June.

Holidays are organized between trimesters, rest is also provided on weekends, days of national and international holidays. Classes are held on weekdays in the first half of them, after the end of lessons there are events, activities in sections and clubs.

The admission process is divided into several stages:

• Submission of an online application with the required package of documents,
• Payment of registration fees,
• Passing interviews, possible entrance tests,
• Obtaining an official invitation to study,
• Payment of part or all of the cost of the educational program,
• Arrival at campus and start of classes.

Admission of new students is limited to a small number of vacant places in classes. Applicants who have applied and are not included in the list of enrollees remain on the waiting list.

Foreign applicants must provide:

• Personal documents: passport, visa or residence permit, health insurance and health certificates,
• Academic reports for the last two academic years.

The level of English proficiency is not important, since in the process of learning in the preschool department, primary school, close attention is paid to this aspect, children progress rapidly.
