Basic Theoretical & Practical Training for Category A1

  • Age — from 18 years old,
  • The duration of the training is two years.

The A1 Category Student Preparation Program is aimed at obtaining basic knowledge in the aviation industry. A specialist with a CAT A1 license gets the right to work in the aircraft maintenance department.

With an effective curriculum, the course will accelerate entry into the industry, enabling learners to succeed in record time. Students will acquire the basic technical knowledge and principles necessary to meet the requirements of aircraft maintenance and use.

After completing the first year of theoretical and practical training, students will have to go through another year aimed at acquiring applied skills - an internship on the basis of partner organizations at one of the local airports.

At the end of the program, students take an exam with a passing score of at least 75%.

Basic Theoretical & Practical Training for Category B2, Базовая теоретическая и практическая подготовка по категории B2

The B2 Category Preparation Course is a training course for future engineers related to the electrical and electronic components of aircraft. License holders have the right to carry out substantial work on the electrical systems of aircraft.

CAT B2 engineers are in demand due to their specialized expertise in the field of electrical systems. In an environment of high demand and limited supply, the introduction of a license is a strategic move that opens the door to exceptional opportunities. For those with a passion for electrical engineering and aviation, the CAT B2 is the best choice.   

After completing a two-year theoretical and practical course, students will move on to a two-year internship based on partner organizations. At the end of the program, they take a modular exam in which they must score at least 75%. Upon completion of the course and passing the exam, students are awarded a Category Recognition Certificate, which confirms their competitive skills and in-depth knowledge of the professional field.

The course, which allows students to obtain a B1.1 category in the field of aviation, will help students gain a quality knowledge base and applied skills to start working as an aircraft maintenance specialist. Students will not only have the right to fly an aircraft, but also the opportunity to transfer to higher education programs and deepen their knowledge by improving their qualifications.

The four-year program is divided into two phases: attending lectures and practical training in the first two years, followed by a two-year internship at one of the partner airlines to gain applied skills.

To obtain a Certificate of Proficiency, an apprentice must pass an exam – at least 75% of success.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Category B1.1/B2

This course is ideal for candidates who already have some experience or a Category A license.

A licensed aircraft maintenance engineer is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the airframe, aircraft engine. Students learn to check the proper functioning of aircraft parts in order to further play an important role among the maintenance personnel, to ensure the constant airworthiness of the aircraft. There is always a demand for B1.1 and B2 specialists in the world.

The program is available for five years and involves independent study of professional disciplines. The curriculum includes the following subjects:

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

There are general requirements for all programs presented in SAA, one of the main ones is an excellent knowledge of English: both general and specialized. The student needs to understand the educational material by ear, answer questions, engage in research activities and implement projects, so the level is required to be at least B2.

International applicants should prepare personal documents: passport, visa or residence permit, Emirates ID card and health insurance. Applicants must have a complete secondary education – a school certificate with an assessment card. All documents must be translated into English and notarized.
