Activities Salcombe Preparatory School

  • All students make one trip per semester: they are organized in such a way as to complement the study of a particular subject.
  • The breakfast club is open from 7:30, early morning supervision is available from 8:00, after-school supervision is available until 18:00 for Pre-Prep and until 18.15 for Prep.
  • A wide range of events and clubs hosted by teachers and invited experts is available. Some clubs are aimed at expanding curricula (mathematics, learning English), others are designed to teach new skills (chess, Spanish club). Various sports clubs and teams for students also work.
  • Holiday Club offers childcare for children aged 5 to 11 years: it offers children a wide range of exciting new educational activities, teaches you how to experiment, take responsibility, and develop leadership skills. All this is achieved by creating a fun, relaxing learning environment where children play together, exploring a rich and challenging program.

  • Salcombe has an excellent reputation for academic excellence, sportsmanship and cultural events. Preschool and Prep are located in modernized, spacious rooms on Green Road, while older students use the adapted and significantly expanded original building at Chase Side within walking distance.
  • Small classes and individualized teaching ensure high academic standards, while an emphasis on art, music, drama, sports ensures that there is something for everyone to succeed in. A wide program of extracurricular educational activities is very popular.
  • According to the rich traditions of Salcombe, children are divided into three “school houses” - the communities to which the students belong: Clermont (Yellow), Deakin (Blue) and Rozden (Red). Pupils are distributed home each year, competing for points.
