English Language Test Preparation Online Course

  • The educational period is three online sessions.

If a student needs help preparing for the ELLT exam, teachers will organize an individual study plan developed by Oxford International. The course is delivered in three online sessions of one hour each, covering all four areas of skill assessment: reading, listening, writing, speaking.

A student can choose a one-week course or focus on preparing for three weeks, studying for one hour per week.

Online Pre-Sessional Course (OPSE)

The pre-sessional preparation course is aimed at supporting foreign students who do not have a sufficient level of English proficiency. The duration of the course is 6, 12 or 16 weeks, depending on the initial level of language skills.

The curriculum covers the essential elements of the language, such as grammar and vocabulary, and develops reading, listening, speaking, and writing skills in English. In addition, the course will allow you to practice key academic skills, such as giving presentations or writing essays, which will help students in future academic research.

The main result will be the demonstration of a noticeable improvement in language skills, the achievement of communicative competencies, which are expressed in the following aspects:

  • Writing an opinion essay on various topics, developing a writing process strategy to create coherent texts,
  • Demonstration of deep reading comprehension skills, the ability to think critically when responding to various texts,

Richmond American University in London (Richmond) is a private international university offering undergraduate and postgraduate programs in five faculties. A distinctive feature is dual accreditation, according to which higher education diplomas correspond to the educational systems of both the UK and the USA.

The educational institution was founded in 1972 by social entrepreneur and politician Cyril Taylor, who wanted to reform the educational system and bring modern methods to the academic process. The history of Richmond is constant progress, the desire to meet innovations in education, to provide excellent conditions for a multinational student community. In March 2020, the university entered into a strategic partnership with China Education Group (HK), a leading provider of private higher education in China. The next major strategic project for Richmond was the relocation of the campus to a new site in Chiswick Park in 2022. Thanks to the well-developed transport infrastructure, the proximity of the campus to attractions and public places, it will take only 20 minutes to get to the city center. The input of students, faculty, and staff into the interior design process has created a fantastic learning environment with flexible academic spaces, including:

The academic calendar consists of the fall and spring semesters of about 15 weeks each, as well as the summer session of 6 weeks:
