North Hertfordshire College (NHC) is located in Stevenage, Hitchin and Letchworth Garden City. Founded on April 1, 1991 through the merger of Stevenage College, Hitchin College, and Letchworth Technical College, NHC is committed to offering exceptional opportunities to its students, communities, employers, and stakeholders.

Here you can get vocational education in areas such as business, information technology, construction, medicine, and much more. In addition, North Hertfordshire College offers the opportunity to gain professional qualifications and proof of knowledge through various exams and certificates.

The uniqueness of the educational process lies in the fact that students have the opportunity to choose from a wide range of additional subjects and courses that will help them expand their knowledge and skills in addition to the main program of study. All NHC campuses have cafés and vending machines that students can use, accept both cards and cash, and are convenient for lunch or snacks during the day. On campus at Hitchin, there is an NHC student restaurant, Hart Kitchens, which is open to students from Tuesday to Thursday during the term: students will be able to eat at the restaurant or take a takeaway lunch. NHC students studying hospitality and catering operate the Hart Deli and Hart Coffee kiosks in Hitchin.

NHC is based in 5 main centres in Stevenage, Hitchin and Letchworth Garden City, including the Skills Centre and the purpose-built Management and Professionalism Centre. The convenient location of each of the campuses means that it will be very easy for students to get to classes.

• The Stevenage Campus is located just a 10-minute walk from the city center, the train station and the bus stop. Within the walls of the Stevenage Campus there are modern facilities, including an area for employers, a resource center, a model hospital room and a model of an independent residential apartment, equipped with modern digital technology. In addition, there are specialized classrooms. Thanks to state-of-the-art equipment and new technologies, students can build your confidence, expand your knowledge, and develop your ambitions as you strive for success in the STEM field.
• Hitchin Campus is just a five-minute walk from the train station and a ten-minute walk from the city centre. This learning centre creates a creative and relaxed environment where apprentices forge close links with employers from a variety of sectors.

The new NHC Sports Centre transforms the college into a sports science research centre, giving students a competitive advantage at the start of their careers. The facilities are equipped with the latest industry innovations, including motion analysis technology, making the Hitchin Campus an ideal place to explore the technical and biological aspects of popular sports.

The Engineering & Construction Campus covers an area of 19,000 sq. ft. and is located right next to Stevenage Train Station and the bus interchange, and is also easily accessible from the A1 motorway.

The academic year at North Hertfordshire College lasts 10 months and is divided into three trimesters: autumn, spring and summer. The school year starts in September and ends in June. To ensure sufficient time for rest, there are holidays between trimesters.
