The Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti (NABA), or the Academy of Fine Arts is the largest design high school in Italy. The university was founded by a group of famous artists and designers in 1980, and in the 90s the university entered the European league ELIA - these are the leading universities associated with the humanities.
NABA was the first private academy to receive accreditation from the Italian Ministry of Education. The campus of the University of NABA Rome is located in one of the busiest areas of the city - this is the Garbatella quarter, located in the south-eastern part of Rome. The university occupies two historic buildings dating from the beginning of the 20th century. Their total area is about 3770 sq.m.
