Malta pays cheques for foreign students to study fees

Up to 70% of educational expenses will be able to be compensated by foreign students from Maltese universities: the government of the country allowed such a "cashback" through a tax deduction, which is available to those foreign graduates who find a job in Malta after receiving a diploma from a Maltese university.

To receive educational "cashback", a foreign student needs to apply for a Post Study Work Visa. The maximum period allocated for employment to participate in the return program is 9 months, the maximum refund amount is €12,500 .
