Brief information: summer language course will be an excellent choice for curious and active students, ready for a fairly intense rhythm and a large number of classes. 

All classes are conducted in an interesting game form:

About the educational program: every day, students do their homework, and every week they have a big screening test. So the teacher can more closely monitor the level of progress and mastery of the material, if necessary adjust the curriculum, detailing the complex topics or language aspects. Particular emphasis is placed on the development of communication skills in German. Students are waiting for a lot of interactive classes on the practice of oral speech. The course also involves daily homework.

Humboldt-Institut is a rich variety of balanced German language programs for children, adolescents and adults. Bad Durkheim is a popular alpine resort located on the northern slopes of the mountains. There is a warm and mild climate, a huge number of sunny days. The history of the resort is more than 1000 years old! The town is located on the territory of the largest national park in the country, it combines soft green hills and magnificent Palatine Forest. Today the population is about 20 thousand people - it is also the largest wine region in Germany. The indigenous people are distinguished by friendliness, hospitality, willingness to help any student or tourist, cheerful character.

Campers stay in comfortable dormitory-style accommodations with modern amenities such as bathrooms, common areas, and recreational facilities. Meals are provided, and dietary restrictions are accommodated.

Accommodation, meals, prices

Christophorus Youth Hostel is very close to the city center: here the students are offered cozy rooms for 2-4 people, each of which opens a breathtaking view of the region's natural riches. The common facilities are located on the floors. When resettling, it is taken into account the age of student and international principle, as well as the level of knowledge of the German language of each student. Meals are organized on the full board basis, three times a day, light snacks are served once a day.

Most leisure activities and entertainment are already included in the cost of the Humboldt-Institut Bad Durkheim program. For students there are barbecues, various creative classes and studios, walking and mountain biking, fun themed parties in Rick's. You can play football or basketball, volleyball, on fine days swim in the spacious pool in the fresh air (open).

On Wednesdays, fascinating walks (about half a day) are organized around local places of interest and monuments: Hardenburg Castle, the ruins of an ancient fortress in the Palatine Forest, built in the 13th century, is especially popular. On Saturdays, longer excursions are planned to various cities in Germany (for the whole day): it can be Cologne, Frankfurt, the oldest city in the country of Trier, the University of Geldeiberg, Speyer and others.

The Humboldt-Institut Bad Durkheim pupils live in the Christophorus House youth hotel in the east of the city: the windows offer spectacular views of the Rhine Valley, and the road to the center of the town does not take more than a few minutes. Around there are cozy valleys, picturesque mountain foothills and vineyards: in their spare time students like to walk on foot or by bicycles, arrange outdoor games and picnics.
