The International School of Management (ISM) is a private university accredited by the German State Commission, specializing in international business, management and marketing. ISM develops a large-scale network of educational institutions through many partnerships with local and foreign universities. The cooperation network includes more than 190 universities around the world.

The Dortmund campus was opened in 1990. Currently, about 860 undergraduate and graduate students study there.

ISM does not have residential buildings on campus, but one of the university's partners offers rooms in the Studierendenwerk residence for those students who will study at the school for one to two semesters. Staff of the institution are ready to help with renting or finding alternative accommodation.

The language center of the institution offers additional classes in English, Spanish, French and German. Since English and German are the main and frequently used languages, the courses are attended by students regularly.

The campus regularly hosts a variety of events – from seminars and master classes to parties and festivals, for example:

If a freshman cannot find like-minded people in existing clubs, he has the opportunity to create his own group.

ISM cooperates with sports programs in Dotmund, Frankfurt and Munich, organizing several large-scale competitions in football, volleyball, cheerleading. Also, all students have the opportunity to train with trainers in the fitness studio on campus.

Dortmund is famous for the football club Borussia and many attractions dedicated to football. Students can attend the games and training sessions of the famous club, visit the German Football Museum, Westfalenpark, Phoenix Lake or stroll through the restaurants and bars in the city center. Dortmund is included in the list of the ten largest university cities, so every student is sure to find entertainment according to his interests.

The Dortmund campus was founded in 1990 and is by far the largest among ISM's teaching areas. It is surrounded by a thriving technopark, locating just 15 minutes from the city centre.

The studying ground is a large area with several buildings prepared for learning with the help of new technologies. Projectors and interactive whiteboards are installed in the lecture classes, the library is equipped with a large book depository and reading room, and for recreation the courtyard and several areas inside the buildings are ennobled.

The academic year consists of two semesters: summer and winter. Vacations are held on the days of national, international holidays. The longest of them are winter due to the New Year.

The admission process includes several stages:

• Entrance tests in mathematics and English, conducted online,
• A face-to-face interview, which can also be held online.

The results are sent to applicants within two weeks after the interview.

The stories of graduates are diverse and inspiring: some of the former students for several years open companies in the field of marketing, some work for large companies, being in positions in the graduated specialty.

To enter the Program of the Qualification Semester, applicants must provide:

• The results of the English language test not lower than level B1,

Applications for preparatory courses are accepted until December 15.

For admission to undergraduate programs, you must provide:

• English language test results: TOEFL (at least 80 points on iBT), IELTS (from 6.0),
• Health insurance.

To enroll in MBA programs, you will need to provide:

• Two letters of recommendation,
• Confirmation of two years of work experience after the first higher education,
• Motivation letter,
• Resume
• Copies of personal documents, digital photo, medical insurance.

For example, the nationwide Deutschlandstipendium programme rewards particularly talented and successful students by €300 per month.
