The International School of Management (ISM) is a private university accredited by the German State Commission, specializing in international business, management and marketing. ISM develops a large-scale network of educational institutions through many partnerships with local and foreign universities. The cooperation network includes more than 190 universities around the world.

The Dortmund campus was opened in 1990. Currently, about 860 undergraduate and graduate students study there.

ISM does not have residential buildings on campus, but one of the university's partners offers rooms in the Studierendenwerk residence for those students who will study at the school for one to two semesters. Facilities and equipment at International School of Management (ISM) Campus Dortmund

The Dortmund campus was founded in 1990 and is by far the largest among ISM's teaching areas. It is surrounded by a thriving technopark, locating just 15 minutes from the city centre.

The studying ground is a large area with several buildings prepared for learning with the help of new technologies. Projectors and interactive whiteboards are installed in the lecture classes, the library is equipped with a large book depository and reading room, and for recreation the courtyard and several areas inside the buildings are ennobled.

The academic year consists of two semesters: summer and winter. Vacations are held on the days of national, international holidays. The longest of them are winter due to the New Year.

Enrolment process

The admission process includes several stages:

  • Entrance tests in mathematics and English, conducted online,
  • A face-to-face interview, which can also be held online.

The results are sent to applicants within two weeks after the interview.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

To enter the Program of the Qualification Semester, applicants must provide:

  • The results of the English language test not lower than level B1,
  • Results of entrance written and oral tests.

Applications for preparatory courses are accepted until December 15.

For admission to undergraduate programs, you must provide:

  • English language test results: IELTS (from 6.0).

To enroll on Master's programs applicants are required to submit the following documents:

  • English language test results: TOEFL (at least 80 points on iBT), IELTS (from 6.0),

To enroll in MBA programs, you will need to provide:
