Facilities and equipment at Harlaxton College

Harlaxton College is located outside of Grantham, which is about an hour's drive from London. Grantham is a small town located in the county of Lincolnshire. Thanks to this, Harlaxton is both close to London and has the beauty of the English countryside.

The formal gardens at Harlaxton Manor were created as an integral part of the stately home. In the context of the time, the surrounding garden spaces and features provided relaxation, connection with nature, opportunities for social interaction, and an understanding of the moods created by different types of man-made open spaces. More than 160 years later, the main purpose of the gardens remains unchanged. The main attractions of the gardens include French-style terraces, an Italian garden, a Dutch decorative canal and English landscaped paths, the conservatory is almost unique in its design and use of architectural elements. The 6.5-acre walled garden is one of the largest in Britain.

It is open to young people up to the age of 25, with preference given to graduates of UK universities or colleges or those who are currently studying or planning to study at a UK university or college.

A successful scholar will study full-time at Evansville University in Indiana, live in a university dormitory, and participate fully and actively in university life.

The Ridgway Scholarship pays for one round-trip international airfare, all tuition expenses, and room and board for a year of study at the University of Evansville. As a major international scholarship, the grant offsets more than $45,000 in educational expenses.
