In Germany, a personnel crisis in the medical industry is approaching - to prevent it, the government plans to introduce preparation for medical graduates on a mandatory basis. Foreigners who have studied at German universities will fall under the program: they will need to work for 5 years in local institutions.
Today, 5,000 medical vacancies in Germany cannot find their applicants, and according to experts, this number will only grow in the coming years. Remote areas, and villages are the first to suffer from a shortage of medical personnel.
At the same time, almost 10% of German citizens (or 9000+ people who plan to become doctors) study not in their homeland, but in other European countries. It is not known whether they will return to German cities after defending their diplomas, so the country's government should deal not only with foreign specialists, but also with its own personnel reserves.
