FESMU was established on October 2, 1930 .

The learning process includes a course of lecture-type and seminar-type classes, the passage of clinical, professional skills and professional experience, research and pre-diploma practice.

The educational process is based on the functioning of the faculties:

Directions of scientific activity of FESMU:

• To show the most effective aminotic acid results of peptides of glippolin with cytoprotective and non-hypoprotective action;
• To promote the possibility of cosection with the neo-inflammatory analogome of leu-encephalin - peptide HALE - the "second" effect of early postnatal stress on the course of systemic inflammatory reaction in distant acute periods;
• To identify the presence of a non-opiate analogue of ley-enkephalin - the peptide NALE - an anti-trench effect in acute and chronic emotional and painful stress;
• Identification of a socially significant role and development of a program for the prevention of micronutrient correction through monitoring studies and the creation of comprehensive recommendations.

FESMU provides nonresident full-time students with three dormitories for 1508 people in total. For meals for students and staff, the university has a café and 3 buffets for 428 seats.

To involve students in social and scientific activities, the university organizes and participates in the following events:

• 95 Interregional Scientific and Practical Conference of the Russian Scientific Medical Society of Therapists, dedicated to the 150th anniversary of S.S. Zimnitsky.

Equipment of special rooms and rooms for independent work: a preparation table, boards, a set of surgical instruments, a multimedia projector, webcams, a negatoscope, an endoscopic surgical stand, a set of surgical instruments, etc.

Students are given free access to the library with 135 seats.

For sports, FESMU provides sports facilities:

At FESMU, the learning process is divided into two semesters: autumn and spring. At the end of each of them, an examination session is held, after passing the students, they are given vacations (in winter in January, in summer in July and August).

For admission to FESMU, applicants must provide:

• Application for admission;
• Identity document(s), citizenship;

• A document confirming registration in the system of individual (personalized) accounting (if any);
• A document confirming disability or disability (if any);
• A document confirming the passage of centralized testing (exam);
• A document confirming that the applicant belongs to the persons who are granted the appropriate special right (if any);
• Documents confirming individual achievements, the results of which are taken into account at admission.

The necessary package of documents is provided to the university:

At the moment, more than 4000 students, graduate students and residents are studying at FESMU.

FESMU has organized an operational Center for the employment of students and graduates.

For admission to bachelor's and specialist's educational programs, an applicant must:

• Completed education is not lower than secondary general;

• Successful completion of entrance examinations with scores not lower than:
  • Fundamentals of Social Work — 36;
  • Life safety — 42;
  • Fundamentals of pathology – 36;
  • Anatomy — 36.
• Points received for the exam are not lower than:
  • History — 36;
  • Social Studies — 42;

  • Biology — 36.

Admission to the magistracy at FESMU is not conducted.

For admission to residency programs, you must:

• Completed higher education;
• Successful completion of the entrance test (testing) of at least 70 points.

For admission to postgraduate programs, you must:

• Completed higher education;
• Successful completion of the entrance test (interview) with at least 9 points:
  • Special discipline;
  • Philosophy;
  • Foreign language.

As material support for students, FESMU allocates the following types of scholarships for students:

• state academic;

• state - graduate students and residents;
• scholarships of the President of the Russian Federation and scholarships of the Government of the Russian Federation;

• scholarships for students appointed by legal entities or individuals, including those who sent them to study.
