TH Köln (Fachhochschule Köln, University of Applied Sciences Cologne)

The Fachhochschule Köln is an educational institution of the state type that has been active in scientific and academic activities since the beginning of the distant 1971. This higher education institution has its own small student campus in the city of Marevo.

TH Köln's feedback management service offers confidential discussions of personal concerns with a neutral specialist. It handles issues related to teaching, organization, and administration and helps resolve complaints and conflicts.

Beyond the Chalkboard meets the Basic level of the Game Accessibility Guidelines.

The faculty foyer hosts themed book exhibitions featuring scholarly works, fiction, poetry, and children's books. The first exhibition focused on Black History Month and the contributions of Black people to scholarship and the practice of social work.

Students have access to a large research library. On-campus residence accommodation is available to international students. TH Köln is a member of the European University Association (EUA).

TH Köln's media office includes an automated green-screen studio and Zoom rooms for online events with more than 300 participants. The office provides professional media production equipment and advice on its use. Faculty members can record materials independently in the studio.

Annually the admission of first-year students is conducted by a special admissions committee. At the same time, the past academic performance of each applicant and the results of their previously passed exams are taken into account. Both locals and international students apply for places at the university on the same conditions.

Each academic year is divided into classic semesters. Despite the fairly low cost of training, each student can return a part of the tuition fee, receiving a scholarship for good academic performance.
