Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences was established in 1971 on the basis of the Pedagogical Academy. This is the second most important university in the city after the University of Bielefeld.
The University of Applied Sciences is located on 3 campuses: in Bielefeld, Minden and Gutersloh. One of the faculties of FH Bielefeld is called - the faculty of the Campus Minden (Fachbereich Campus Minden).
