Eton College was founded in 1440 by order of the English King Henry VI. The task of the college was to prepare future students of the Royal College of Cambridge University, founded a year later. Throughout history, there is an unbreakable link between the educational institution and the British royal house: for example, the future English monarch, Prince William, and his younger brother, Prince Harry, are graduates of Eton.

The General English course is suitable for students interested in their future education, career, requiring proficiency in English. Teachers use a wide range of modern teaching methods aimed at developing confidence, ability to speak English, providing students with the tools necessary for effective communication and learning. Thanks to the dynamic lessons, students will develop the ability to use the appropriate vocabulary, grammar of speech and writing. The course develops the ability to understand, evaluate and criticize available information and respond accordingly to others. The Time to Shine program involves working together on a project, preparing oral presentations, debates, marketing texts. Students get the freedom to creatively work independently on projects.

SBC Mathematics - from 12 to 16 years - 5000 £ / 2 weeks.

SBC Mathematics is aimed at students interested in further studying the mathematical disciplines of the natural, engineering, computer, formal sciences. Mathematics is a subject with a wide range of applications in the professional, academic fields. This is an important component of not only the future of teaching mathematics, but the natural sciences (chemistry, physics, astronomy, biology), as well as the formal sciences (logic, statistics, robotics). The high level of mathematics will allow to study engineering, computer science in high school.

Students will focus on pure, applied mathematics. Subjects studied:

  • Algebraic systems
  • Geometry
  • Calculus (calculations)
  • Probability theory
  • Newtonian dynamics.

All lessons are conducted in English in a multinational environment, which will allow students to improve their linguistic, communicative skills. SBC Humanities is suitable for students planning to study humanities in higher education - art, history, philosophy, politics, sociology, literature, language. Students develop skills, knowledge, language, analyzing, critically evaluating painting, music, literature, cinema, key moments of history, current political affairs, their sociological, political reasons, history of thought, philosophy. Sbc sciences

SBC Sciences is suitable for students who intend to study physics, biology, chemistry, mathematics, and natural sciences. It will help develop scientific, educational skills related to a wide range of scientific topics, concepts, helping them to develop a sound scientific approach. The course pays equal attention to chemistry, physics, biology, and such a balanced foundation, understanding of the physical universe gives students the skills necessary for effective study of new areas of science.

The SBC Science curriculum is aimed at developing an understanding of scientific concepts, methodology, ways of influencing scientific achievements on the world. The studied areas include the Earth’s complex dynamic climate system, space exploration, and medical advances. Examining these topics from various critical points of view, students will improve their research, analytical skills. All SBC Science students are implementing a Time to Shine research project in collaboration with other students. This experience allows them to go through the full cycle of project work: to study a scientific problem, form a scientific report, presentation, present the results to an audience. This experience imitates some of the real projects that natural science students are working on, allowing us to assess the degree of impact of effective scientific research on the outside world.

Events Eton College Academic Summer Camp

During their stay at the Eton School, students will spend the day at Oxford participating in a lecture or seminar related to the chosen subject: these classes are designed to supplement the main material, to encourage students to actively use their knowledge and skills in practice.

Pupils of the summer sessions will take part in carefully selected recreational activities that allow students to have fun, recharge their batteries, relax:

  • Sports, including football, swimming, tennis
  • Drawing lessons, drawing
  • Discussion, reader clubs
  • Dance and drama activities
  • Nature walks, logic games
  • "Eton Games."

The program of events includes a tour of Windsor, located a few minutes walk from Eton College: students will see the neighborhood of Eton, Windsor, get acquainted with these cities, see Eton College and Windsor Castle from an unusual angle during a sightseeing river cruise on the Thames. The end of the trip will be free time to buy souvenirs, walk.

Activities include three full day excursions - a visit to London, Oxford, Brighton.

  • A tour of London begins with a visit to Kew Botanical Gardens, continues in Knightsbridge with a tour of one of three famous museums: the Museum of Natural Science, the Museum of Science or the Museum of V & A. The final stage - shopping at Oxford Street and dinner at a London restaurant.
  • The academic tour of Oxford begins with a guided walking tour, continues to the historic University of Oxford, famous for its speakers and debates for almost 200 years - here students will hear about the history of Oxford University. In the afternoon, students can choose between continuing to explore the rich history of Oxford based on one of its many museums or visiting the new Westgate shopping center.
  • Acquaintance with the famous seaside city of Brighton begins with a visit to the Brighton Lanes shopping district: then students will take a ride on British Airways i360, a 162-meter observation tower, which offers impressive views of the city. Students will finish their trip on the beach for traditional English dinner fish & chips at the famous Brighton Pier.

In addition to studying the main subject, students will take part in three thematic workshops and at least one excursion to Oxford.
