CHOU School "Solnechnaya"

School "Solnechnaya" in the village of Trostye was organized in 2009 in the form of a boarding school, located on the territory of the State Wildlife Refuge of Federal Significance "Tarusa", in a protected area 90 kilometers from the capital.

The school provides pupils with four balanced meals a day. The composition of the dishes includes only products that do not cause allergies, it is possible to organize individual meals for the child to follow the diet prescribed by doctors.

The conditions in the boarding house correspond to all standards, the rooms are equipped for joint living up to 3 people. The price of housing is included in the total cost of the academic year.

The school offers a choice of three types of accommodation:

• Boarding house - training and accommodation during the entire study time (five meals a day);
• Half board - the child's stay at school from 8:40 to 18:00 until the end of self-study under the guidance of teachers (three meals a day)
• School - the student's stay at school until the end of the main classes (two meals a day).

Additional education at the school is provided in several circles and sections:

• Theater studio (grades 1-11);
• Fundamentals of Journalism (grades 8-11);
• Master class "Teach your hands to magic" - creating holiday gifts for relatives with your own hands;
• Conversations on the basics of Orthodox culture (grades 1-11);
• Master class "Easy to cook together" (grades 1-11) - development of culinary and household skills;
• Short-term course "If you want to be healthy" (grades 1-11) - lectures on maintaining a healthy lifestyle;
• Short-term course "PANT" (grades 5-11) - lectures and prevention against smoking, alcohol and drug addiction;
• "Literature around us" (grades 5-11) - a literary circle with reading and discussion of books;
• "Scientific and technical modeling" (grades 1-7) - rules for the safe handling of tools, manual labor, drawing up and collecting models;
• The basics of hand-to-hand combat (grades 1-11);
• "Clever and clever men" (grades 1-4) - intellectual development, the ability to see and solve problems, the study of ethical norms and behavior;
• Choral singing (grades 1-4);
• "School of Speech Development" (grades 1-4) - teaching beautiful and competent speech, writing small, coherent texts, dialogues.

The school also has an art and music studio, where students study art, draw under the supervision of a teacher, learn musical notation and play musical instruments.

A summer camp was founded on the basis of the school, which accepts students from 8 to 14 years old. The shift in the camp lasts from late June to late July.

School classrooms are equipped with the necessary materials for effective and safe learning, video surveillance cameras are installed in the halls and living rooms. The sports hall, located in the building, is equipped with basketball, volleyball, mini-football and table tennis equipment, and gymnastic equipment. The assembly hall for 100-120 people is fully equipped for school celebrations and concerts. In the courtyard of the building there are such sport and creative items as:

• Football field;
• Volleyball ground;
• Basketball field;
• School garden and a greenhouse;
• Playgrounds and gazebos for recreation.

In the boarding house, the rooms are equipped with beds for three people, the students use showers, bathrooms, refrigerator, video player and TV.

The school year begins on September 2 and lasts until May 27.

List of holidays:

• Autumn holidays: October 26 - November 04;
• Winter break: December 28 - January 12;
• Additional holidays for students of grade 1: February 17 - February 21;
• Spring Break: March 21 - March 29;
• Summer vacation: May 27 - September 2.

The duration of the academic year is 33 weeks – 34 weeks. A lesson in 1st grade lasts 35 minutes (1st half of a year), in 1st grade (2nd half of a year) and in grades 2-11 - 45 minutes.

For admission to the boarding school "Solnechnaya", parents / legal representatives of the future student are required to fill out an application in electronic or written form. Then the child undergoes testing, based on the results of which a decision is made on admission to training.
