Activities British Vietnamese International School Hanoi

The British-Vietnamese International School in Hanoi uses the Nord Anglia Share A Dream educational portal to record all community service activities with detailed descriptions of time/effort, gifts and money donated to charity. This is a new initiative: over time, each student will have their own access code to this portal so that they can keep a record of their personal contributions and growth with the support of a community service coordinator. Through this portal, students will be able to participate in volunteer projects, record actions for pre-approval, write reflections, and send feedback to supervisors for documentation.

The schoolhouse system provides ample opportunities for events and supports the philosophy of the strong house system. Faculty captains may participate in competitions or choose charitable foundations to support, as well as refer faculty members from all annual groups to earn faculty points, among others, for behavior, academic work, participation in school activities that result in a semester victory.

  • Home events are held throughout the year: the annual Christmas Charity Fair leverages students' entrepreneurial skills and culminates in a donation to local charities.
  • The system of houses is managed by students – they choose captains and leadership teams who implement creative tasks and activities between the faculties and the whole school. These leadership groups mentor students and gather feedback, using it to regularly analyze and amplify the positive impact of the home system.

As part of the Juilliard-Nord Anglia Performing Arts program, music is complemented by a repertoire of famous works of art hand selected by Julillard, as well as keyboard , which serves as a starting point for studying music theory.

Solving real problems in natural sciences, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM), the child will develop skills such as flexibility, creativity and sociability. Children experiment, learn that collaboration and critical thinking can solve even the most complex problems.
