In 1910, the College of Home Economics was opened in Long Acre, and in 1914 the old prison building in Tverton opened as a technical institute after reconstruction. In 1927, a junior technical school was opened at the college, and in 1933 - a school of crafts. Finally, in 1935, it was all reorganized into the Technical College, which by 1960 had a new modern campus on Avon Street. In 1973, the Kingsmide building opened, in 1993 - Allen.

In 2014, the college was merged with Norton Redstock College (the latter experienced financial and organizational problems), since 2014 it is already Bath College.
