The youngest institution of higher education in New Zealand is Auckland University of Technology (AUT). Originated at first as the Auckland School of Technology, over time the institution became the Oakland Technological University. Its prestige and popularity are based on innovative training programs and a creative approach to each student. Due to these criteria, the university annually recruits about 15 percent of foreign youth for training.

Developments of New Zealand scientists deserve world recognition. Here are some of them:

  • A team of researchers from AUT was able to provide practical evidence of successful treatment of brain injuries by drawing from pine.
