AGIK provides 2 dormitories with 319 beds. The cost of living is up to 2387 rubles per month.

For meals for students and staff, the institute has a canteen and two buffets for 244 seats.

AGIK was established on June 20, 1974. Altai State Institute of Culture is an effectively functioning and dynamically developing educational, scientific and cultural complex that aims its activities to meet the needs of the population and to form their artistic tastes.

The AGIK educational process is carried out in three educational buildings and an educational theater equipped with classrooms, storage rooms for educational equipment, dressing rooms, special rooms, halls and laboratories. The classrooms are equipped with: props, piano, whiteboard, choreographic machines, mirrors, portable demonstration equipment, teaching aids, etc.

Students are given free access to 4 libraries with 72 seats.

For sports, the institute offers:

At AGIK, the academic year is divided into two semesters: autumn and spring. At the end of each, an examination session is held, after which students are given a vacation (in winter in January, in summer in July and August).
