Why can a student be expelled from school, college, university?

Why can a student be expelled from school, college, university?

When you study in the place you dreamed of, it seems to you that it is forever and nothing can force you to leave the walls of your alma mater - except for the solemn ceremony of awarding diplomas. But this is not so: they are expelled quite often, different things happen. How do we minimize this probability?

For what reasons are they expelled?

Expulsion from a secondary, secondary specialized or higher educational institution can be both on the initiative of the administration and on the initiative of the student.

Students or schoolchildren who:

  • Did this at their own request or at the request of their parents,
  • In connection with the transition to another educational organization,
  • For health reasons - in the presence of medical documents,
  • In the case of an erroneously chosen profession,
  • If the course of the professional program is mastered, and the certification is passed.
  • in connection with the full development of the basic professional educational program and the passage of the state final certification.

In addition, there may also be such grounds as:

  • Conscription into the army,
  • Death (the family will need to send the appropriate certificate to school or university).

Why are they expelled from school?

It was not easy to get a pupil out of school, since the law guaranteed all children the right to basic general education. Expulsion from the beginning is basically impossible, since the course of the first four classes has not been completed.

In practice, they can be expelled for systemic violations of discipline if the student poses a danger to other children or adults. At the same time, there are no clear and distinct criteria for such a danger, in any institution they are their own. With a high probability, you will no longer have to study if the child brought drugs to school, appeared there in a state of intoxication or under drugs, insulted the honor of the school with a word or action, attacked other students or teachers physically. A thief may also be denied the right to study.

If the violations have not yet acquired a systematic character, the punishment may be a conversation with an educational psychologist or other forms of "elaboration".

They are also expelled for systematic refusal to study, repeated abandonment for the second year and other difficulties - especially if the child has already ceased to be such and he turned eighteen.

Some may be given a probationary period or excluded for a while, and the duration of such a "punishment" is determined by the director or pedagogical council.

Under no circumstances should the following be expelled:

  • Up to 15 years;
  • Schoolchildren with disabilities;
  • Schoolchildren on sick leave or those who rest on vacation
  • Repeaters who once failed the general exams.

Why are they expelled from college and university?

The rules for expulsion from these institutions are basically similar: they are expelled for violating the rules, refusing to pay money for studying for those who study at the commercial department, various offenses and similar outrages.

How to be expelled from college and university

As we have already said, expulsion can be voluntary, that is, when the initiative comes from the student, and forced.

In the first case, our hero goes to the dean's office and writes a statement according to the form presented to him there. The dean's office is engaged in all technical work on registration, after which they provide documents for the signature of the rector. The task of the latter is to allocate the application within three days, after which the act is sent to the personnel department, and then to the student. He gets acquainted with the paper under the signature, and then begins a journey with a bypass sheet through the libraries and the commandants of the dormitories to prove that nothing from the university property was appropriated to them, everything was handed over.

If the expulsion occurs by the decision of the rectorate or dean's office, the candidate for departure will first be invited to the dean's office and will be required to give an explanation. If they show that bad grades and debts in general are caused by valid reasons, most likely, the student will be met halfway. But if the candidate for departure is not so convincing, the above procedure will occur, but at the initiative of the dean.

The result in both cases will be the same - deduction.
