Description of University of West Georgia (UWG)

The University of West Georgia (abbreviated UWG) is an educational institution of the state type in America, the history of which begins in 1906. Currently, the main building of the university is located in the small town of Carrollton.

It is a university that admits about 14,000 students annually. The teaching staff of the university is about 1000 teachers of the highest category and professors. During their studies, students can apply to participate in faculty and student exchange programs between universities around the world.

Educational process

Education is available in two formats: in-person and online, allowing students to combine studying with work. To earn a bachelor's degree in four years, the university recommends taking 15 credit hours per semester, with 12 or more hours considered a full load.

Faculties and colleges

UWG offers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs. Professional master's programs include MBA, MPAcc (Master of Accounting), MSN (Master of Science in Nursing), and Ed.D. (Doctor of Education), as well as academic programs M.A. and M.Ed. Nursing education is provided by the Tanner Health System School of Nursing (THSON).
