Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

The doctoral program in veterinary medicine aims to educate students and offer them world-class scientific and clinical training. The curriculum includes five years of study, the first four of which students will learn about the structure and function of animals, pathologies, medicine and surgery. Teachers will talk about a variety of clinical cases and help develop diagnostic skills. In the process of training, students will devote two weeks to the study of certain animals: horses, pigs, sheep, cattle and small farm animals. In the fifth year, students attend clinical rotations of small and farm animals, horses.
Thanks to the modern infrastructure of the educational building and partner organizations, students will gain important medical skills and diverse experience in their future profession.

The University of Nicosia School of Veterinary Medicine is a specialized school of the largest university in Southern Europe, offering a doctoral program in veterinary medicine.
The University of Nicosia (UNIC), which owns the school, is an outstanding institution of higher education taught in English. UNIC opened the first medical school in Cyprus in 2011 and, based on this successful experience, is currently opening the first veterinary school in the country. The innovative and interesting curriculum, consisting of five years of doctoral studies, will provide students with high-quality knowledge and skills for professional development and successful career activities.

The academic year of doctoral students consists of two semesters. Classes are organized on weekdays, rest - on national and international holidays, holidays and weekends.
The teaching of the curriculum is divided into two components: full-time and part-time learning. Full-time education refers to all specialized disciplines, and part-time education refers to additional classes during the summer holidays.

Scholarships University of Nicosia School of Veterinary Medicine
The school has created a scholarship fund designed to help students partially finance their studies.
