The University of La Verne (ULV) is a private university with several academic territories in the state of California, offering more than 50 bachelor's degrees, about 20 master's degree programs, and several doctoral degrees.

The history of the institution began in 1891, when members of the Christian Church of the Brothers opened Lordsburg College, named after Losburg— the former name of La Verne. Over the next ten years, the hotel building, where several programs were taught, was converted into classrooms, and then the entire territory with outdoor areas was purchased as an academic campus. Despite the gradual organization of the space and the investments of the community, the college was close to closure, and it was only closer to the 1970s that it was able to fully resume work. In the same years, the educational institution received the now well-known name and university status, necessary accreditations for teaching higher education programs.

Today, the US university has more than 6,000 students, most of whom are bachelors. Not only American students obtain academic preparation here, but representatives from a dozen foreign countries attend classes with them. Students are supervised by highly qualified teaching staff, whose goal is not only to transfer knowledge, but also to prepare students for professional activity through regular practice, internships, project and research work.

In addition to the main specializations, students have access to elective courses that broaden their academic experience, offering additional knowledge and skills:

• FLEX introduces freshmen to university life, providing a range of extracurricular activities, additional support from adaptation specialists, counselors, teachers,
• SoLVE is presented in the second year of all bachelor's specializations: it is a series of electives that improve students' performance both academically and beyond. Considering the career aspect of SoLVE, teachers help students build long-term plans.

La Verne is comprised of several specialized colleges:

The infrastructure of La Verne includes three residential complexes:

• Citrus Hall is a five—storey building with double and triple rooms, many common amenities: bathrooms, spacious recreation areas, two dining rooms, several rooms for self-study. This residence is mainly occupied by undergraduate freshmen.
• Vista La Verne is a residence with apartments accommodating two single and two double bedrooms, four separate bathrooms and a living room. About 378 senior students are accommodated here.
• The Oaks consists of six residential buildings, each of which accommodates up to 40 students of any level of education and specialization. Pupils live in double and triple rooms, sometimes superior single bedrooms are available. Residents have access to everything they need, from bathrooms and dining areas to self-study classes and laundries.

All students living in residences are required to arrange one of the meal plans, which include a certain number of meals per week, additional points for spending in university cafes, restaurants and shops. There is a main dining hall and a small cafeteria on campus.

The university offers several large-scale directions for the extracurricular development of talents and hobbies of its students.

The main place in the student life of ULV is occupied by sports: dozens of national teams of women's and men's teams regularly train and participate in interuniversity, regional and national competitions. The main sports are considered to be:

Community students regularly participate in La Verne celebrations and perform off-campus at concerts and competitions.

• The main campus, located in La Verne, is just 30 miles from Los Angeles, adjacent to a mountain range and the vast natural beauty of the region. There are main classrooms, specialized laboratories and studios for the preparation of students of many specialties: biology, psychology, communication, law, educational leadership and others. In addition to educational facilities, the campus has modern sports facilities for training and competitions, thematic studios for creativity, exact sciences and humanities, and extracurricular activities.
• The Santa Clarita campus is used by ULV in conjunction with College of the Canyon, the Dr. Diane G. Van Hook University Center. Students who have transitioned from other institutions, as well as older students who have decided to pursue higher education, are studies on the territory.
• The Bakersfield academic area mainly specializes in short-term professional preparation programs, but also stipulates large lecture halls for bachelor's and master's degree programs.
• Ontario has another academic venue, the College of Law and Public Administration. It teaches highly specialized bachelor's and master's degree programs, for which specialized laboratories, computer classrooms, and simulation practice areas are prepared.
• The military center, located in Ventura County, is located at the NBVC Naval Base. Flexible format classes are organized here — evening and hybrid classes created to support military personnel in obtaining higher education.

The ULV academic calendar includes three trimesters:

Foreign applicants entering ULV must provide:

• Language test results: TOEFL (from 97) or university-recognized equivalent,

Some specialties may require professional experience and a portfolio.

ULV provides financial support to particularly outstanding students through scholarships for academic, creative and athletic achievements, grants, and assistance with transferring from another educational institution. Students have access to need-based financial aid that covers part of the cost of education.
