Universidad de Jaén (UJA)

In 1993, Universidad de Jaén began work, abbreviated UJA. Jaen University is one of the best Spanish public universities. The central building of the educational institution is located in Jaen.

The list of 40 leading universities in Spain has not been without UJA for many years. Also, this educational institution is in five percent of the best universities around the globe.

Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud runs a student mobility program based on agreements with universities in Spain, Europe, and Latin America. The faculty has modern classrooms and clinical simulation facilities, as well as a broad network of medical institutions — hospitals, primary care centers, socio-medical centers, nursing homes, and physiotherapy clinics — for completing internships.

• The university's history goes back to the University of Baeza of the modern era and to the 17th century, when the Santa Catalina monastery school was temporarily transformed into a Pontifical University.

• the Escuela Politécnica Superior de Linares received international EUR-ACE accreditation for its bachelor's programs in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and industrial chemical engineering, as well as EUR-ACE Bachelor accreditation for the telecommunications program,
• the Escuela Politécnica Superior de Linares received the Implanta certificate from the Andalusian Knowledge Agency, confirming its implemented quality assurance system,
• the university ranks among the world's top 400 universities for computer science and artificial intelligence according to the ranking,
• the quality assurance system of the Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud has been nationally accredited since 2009 by the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation.

UJA simultaneously accommodates about 20 thousand students, which makes it an average university. Among them are not only Spaniards, but also citizens of other countries. Teaching activities at the university are about 1,500 teachers. The active cooperation of the university with other educational institutions allows students and specialists to participate in exchange programs and various internships.

Enrollment of applicants occurs after the provision of documents on academic progress in the previous place of training. The percentage of incoming here is very large. Of the 100 applicants - about 90 become students of this school. The academic year at the university is divided into quarters.

Tuition at Jaen University

The price is the same for students in bachelor and master programs. It is slightly less than 2 500 USD.

The Talent Attraction UJA Program scholarship program has been in effect since the 2016/2017 academic year and annually attracts more than 120 students with strong academic performance to the university's bachelor's and master's programs. Applications for it are usually open from December to March each academic year, and additional financial support is provided by partner organizations — Santander bank and the municipality of Linares.

The University of Jaén participates in the Learn Africa scholarship program for African women enrolling in STEM master's programs, and each year offers an assistance program for refugee students and asylum seekers who are in a high-risk situation due to their religious, ethnic, political, or social minority status or gender identity.

Graduates and faculty from AUIP member universities in Latin America and Portugal who legally reside outside Spain have access to AUIP (Andalucía — Federico García Lorca) scholarships for official master's programs at public universities in Andalusia: these cover enrollment, accommodation, and living expenses. The University of Jaén offers Erasmus+ KA171 grants for academic mobility in non-EU countries with which Erasmus+ inter-institutional agreements have been concluded.
