Discover London Program: Bronze

  • The studying period is two weeks.

The Bronze program package offers students an exciting time in London, including:

  • 15 English lessons per week aimed at improving reading, writing, speaking and listening skills,
  • Accommodation in a comfortable residence, three meals a day,
  • Seven full-day walking tours,
  • Campus events: theme nights, sports games, competitions.

Students gain experience by being in a caring supportive atmosphere and interacting with classmates of different nationalities. Teachers and staff of the center provide comprehensive assistance to students, making sure that the experience in England is positive.

  • The studying period is two weeks.

The summer "silver" course offers students more exciting emotions - the curriculum will include a variety of excursions to remote places, language lessons and campus activities for two weeks. The program includes:

  • 15 weekly language classes of 45 minutes each, focusing on reading, speaking, writing and listening skills,
  • Accommodation in a residence on a full board basis,
  • Five full-day excursions to London,
  • Two full-day excursions to Brighton and Cambridge - students will spend a full day in each of the cities, exploring their sights and natural beauty.

Students are provided with everything they need to make the summer holiday experience in England unforgettable: from the comprehensive support of qualified teachers and a varied leisure program to comfortable accommodation, transfers, and balanced meals.

  • The studying period is two weeks.

The Gold package includes more activities, offering students an exciting journey through the sights of London and surrounding cities. Students receive a two-week curriculum that includes:

  • 15 small group English lessons make an emphasis on reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. Through regular communication, they will develop communication skills, enrich their vocabulary and gain confidence in using the English language,
  • Accommodation in a single room with a bathroom,
  • Three meals a day with a choice of dishes, drinks and desserts,
  • Five full-day excursions to the sights, iconic places of London,
  • Two full-day excursions in Brighton, Cambridge,
  • Entrance fees for the river cruise, London Eye and Brighton Pavilion.

The Platinum Course offers the largest number of excursions and activities of any programm offered at Twin Summer Centre London Docklands! During their two-week stay on campus, students are provided with:

  • 15 weekly English lessons aimed at developing writing, reading, speaking and listening skills. Thanks to small classes, students receive individual attention from the teacher, have the opportunity to train conversational speech,
  • Accommodation in a single room with private bathroom,
  • Three meals a day on the full board basis with the possibility of choosing dishes,
  • Five full-day excursions in London and its attractions,
  • Two full-day excursions organized in Brighton and Cambridge,
  • Visit River Cruise, Madame Tussauds, London Eye, Tower of London, Brighton Pavilion and Football Stadium.

Twin Summer Centre London Docklands organises summer holidays  for students aged 10 to 18 in London, offering English language learning through immersion in an English-speaking environment.

Twin Summer Docklands annually welcomes students from all over the world who make friends of different nationalities and cultures, live together new environment and emotions, and learn English. Under the guidance of qualified native teachers, children spend exciting summer holidays while effectively improving their language skills. Through interactive classes, field trips and campus activities, they gain confidence in using English, which will help them continue their studies in English-speaking institutions, travel comfortably and expand opportunities for future careers.

Educational process

The basis of the curriculum is the study of English through regular conversational practice, the development of reading and writing skills. A variety of resources are used to teach students: books and films, songs, or communication with locals in public places.

Things to know about

At school, the safety and well-being of students is a top priority:

  • A round-the-clock emergency number is available,
  • Each student is assigned a special supervisor,
  • The head of the security service is constantly on duty,
  • Recruitment is conducted by specialists trained by the National Center for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC),
  • The police are checking all employees.

Accommodation, meals, prices

Pupils of the summer center are accommodated in a comfortable residence, occupying single rooms with bathrooms. Next to the living rooms there is a self-service launderette, a dining room and other infrastructure, there is round-the-clock Internet access throughout the territory.

Accommodation in the residence provides meals on the full board basis -  students visit three times the dining room per day. Students can choose main dishes, desserts and drinks, if they wish, take advantage of a special menu: vegetarian, vegan, lactose-free.

Activities Twin Summer Centre — London Docklands

Sightseeing tours, trips to entertainment centers, exploring the natural beauty of the countryside are included in all curricula. Students can choose from four program options, each of which stipulates organizing of a certain number of offsite and campus activities.

Thanks to an active extracurricular life, students will be able to immerse themselves in an English-speaking everyday environment, visit many of the famous places, and the campuses of leading international universities. Tours take you to places like Madame Tussauds, London Stadium, London Eye, Brighton Maritime Pavilion, and more.

Facilities and equipment at Twin Summer Centre — London Docklands

The summer centre conducts classes on the University of East London Docklands campus, located on the waterfront, next to many of London's attractions and iconic places: Tower Bridge, the O2 arena and other interesting places are a 30-minute walk away.

While studying at Twin Summer Centre London Docklands, students have access to many of the University of East London's facilities. Classes are held in modern classrooms with interactive equipment, and green areas, living rooms with board games and much more have been created for recreation and communication. Students get access to high-speed Wi-Fi.

Thanks to good transport links, it is easy for students to visit Brighton, Oxford, Cambridge - the road to them will take about an hour and a half, and to international airports - from 40 to 90 minutes.

Admission dates and extra charges

The program takes place in the summer months, usually starting at the end of June. The course lasts two weeks, but one, three or four week options are available on request.

All packages at London Docklands include:

  • Entrance test to determine the level of knowledge,

  • Passing a language test, according to the results of which students will be divided into groups,

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

To enter the Twin Summer Centre London Docklands program, applicants must meet the age criteria for admission and provide personal documents: a valid passport, health insurance, visa or residence permit.

It is not necessary to take a language test before applying, as all candidates are tested immediately before enrollment.
