TOP-6 Turkish beaches that only locals know about

How do you imagine a holiday in Turkey? Crowds of people, and on the beach there is nowhere for an apple to fall? So it is, but next to the crowded beaches you can find secluded and quiet places that are in no way inferior to their famous neighbors!

Kemer: Adrasan Bay

The bay and the village of the same name are located 55 km from Kemer and 100 km from Antalya airport, the road takes 1-1.5 hours.

Usually the beach is almost empty, although it is located near the promoted resort. The bay is not very famous, mostly locals rest here. The azure bay is surrounded by rocks, the sand on the beach is silk, and the water is so clear that visibility reaches 25 m. The bay is popular with families with children and divers, the depth increases smoothly, the shore is very well-groomed.

Boats and yachts enter the bay, where you can sail along the magnificent picturesque bays of Geneviz, Zuluada and Sazak, visit Cape Helidonia.

Kash: Kaputaş

One of the most beautiful and impressive beaches in Turkey is located between the cities of Kalkan and Kas. The shore is surrounded by rocks - to it you will have to go down the stairs in 200 steps. On weekends, many locals come here, but on weekdays there are few people, and you can enjoy the azure sea and silence. The beach can be reached by dolmusch, which runs between Kalkan and Kash, and by bus, which goes to Fethiye. There are no fast food kiosks on the beach, so it is better to take a snack and water with you.

Fethiye: Oludeniz Lagoon

Oludeniz Laguna amazes in the heart: the white sand beach is surrounded by emerald rocks, and the water shimmers with all shades of blue. There are no storms in the lagoon, and the sea is clean and warm, so the beach is great for families with children. The lagoon is 15 km from Fethiye, and in season it can be reached by dolmush: they go every 20 minutes, but due to traffic jams on the road can take 45 minutes. Here you can even paraglid and go on an excursion to the islands of the Aegean Sea.

Cesme: Diamond

Another not very replicated beach is called Diamond. It is located in a nature park 95 km from Izmir and 9 km from Cesme, and can be reached by dolmush or taxi from the centre of Cesme in 10 minutes. The entrance to the water here is gentle, and the sand is velvet to the touch and very fine. Diamond Beach is loved by kitesurfers, because the wind often blows here, even opened their school on its territory. The territory is considered a nature protection zone, so there are no hotels on the beach, several cafes are sheltered on the beach - even in season it is quite calm.

Dalyan: Iztuzu

The length of the sand arc of the Iztuzu coast is 4 km, it separates the delta of the Dalyan River from the Mediterranean Sea. The area is considered a protected area: there are no sun loungers or umbrellas on the beach, and the movement of high-speed vessels is even prohibited within a mile radius. Wildlife reigns here, rare caretta-caretta sea turtles nest and blue crabs live. Due to the fact that turtles lay eggs between May and October, the authorities even close part of the beach to provide the animals with comfortable conditions. It is worth noting that there is enough space here for people seeking solitude, and for animals. From the center of Dalyan to the beach can be reached by dolmush or swim along the river by boat.

Cirali: Olympos

Olympos beach is located within the village of Cirali, which is sheltered between the most famous tourist resorts - Kash and Antalya. There are no large and noisy chain hotels, but small private hotels are presented in abundance, and majestic landscapes set up for a measured rest. Surrounded by mountains, the spacious beach is covered with pebbles, a river flows not far from it, and the ruins of ancient Olympos and the "burning" Mount Yanartash are located very close. On the shore there is no shower and changing rooms, single sun loungers and umbrellas are installed. You can get here by bus from Kemer or Antalya, and from the village on the dolmus to the beach itself.
