You can't say that on the fly, because happiness is a relative criterion. Someone needs a luxurious beach, snow-white sand, blue sea waters and the green of palm groves. Others prefer the lights of a big city, still others - rustic pastorals or other options.
One travel company, whose name will not say anything to a Russian, but is very common in the United States and other Western countries, conducted an analysis of the most common travel destinations for several indicators, including:
- Public safety;
- The level of street crime;
- Degree of environmental pollution;
- Opportunities and infrastructure for travelers and leisure activities;
- Diversity and richness of the cultural program;
- Tolerance for representatives of the LGBT subculture;
- General happiness index.
It is not difficult to guess which piece of paradise took first place. This is the Indonesian island of Bali, a popular place among Russian downshifters of the 10s and one of the few world resorts of extra-class, where our citizens are still welcome. Unfortunately, not all the people on our list today can boast of open doors and the most favored nation treatment for Russians.
These are Los Angeles, which occupies the second line, and New Orleans, and San Francisco, nestled on the 7-8 line. Between them lurked the Spanish rebellious and unshakable Barcelona with the world's best cathedral and famous club, the Dutch Amsterdam and the capital of the Hungarian Republic, ancient Budapest, as well as Canadian Vancouver. Below the capital of the former Spanish California are middle Eastern Dubai and the city of Rio de Janeiro, surrounded by slums and decorated with countless monuments to the Virgin Mary.
