Tamwood Juniors Summer Course

The summer camp invites younger students to have fun in major cities in Canada and the United States, offering flexibility in the choice of location and duration of study. On average, children participate in the program for two weeks, but the duration can vary from one to six during the course.

Students are offered a balanced plan, which includes daily English classes on weekdays, many excursions and campus activities. During their stay in the camp, students are accommodated in residence or host families, receive high-quality and healthy food, comprehensive support from teachers and staff.

Thanks to immersion in the language environment, students develop speaking skills more effectively, learn fluent reading and correct pronunciation faster. Lessons in an interactive format, excursions to sights and cultural places allow you to gain confidence in the use of English, learn the customs and culture of the country.

Tamwood Youths Summer Course

• The educational period is two weeks.

The program of the seasonal camp for international teenagers offers an exciting curriculum with the ability to adjust the duration of education to your goals, choose a place of study from major cities in the United States and Canada. The curriculum of pupils (regardless of the location of the camp) will include:

• 20 English lessons per week, the duration of one lesson is 45 minutes;
• Various sports, creativity and cultural activities;
• Exciting excursions, social and cultural events.

The main goal will be to improve the general level of English, for which excellent conditions are created: immersion in the language environment, modern teaching methods, interactive teaching methods, a wide range of additional activities for practicing speaking skills. Studying in small educational groups, students not only get to know each other, but also jointly learn the customs and culture of the country, using English more confidently in everyday life.

The program provides accommodation, meals and comprehensive round-the-clock support.

Tamwood Seniors Summer Course

The course for high school students is different from other programs offered to schoolchildren: here future students of universities and colleges have the opportunity not only to improve their level of English, but also to gain additional skills in the direction they are interested in. A unique cross-cultural approach links English with technology, leadership, the arts, sports and education. In addition to the main education, students can choose one of the specialized programs, including the study of the film industry, career guidance, basketball or leadership development.

During their stay in the camp, students are provided with comfortable housing and balanced meals, a wide range of leisure activities and excursions.

Tamwood Elite Basketball Camp

Designed for beginner athletes, the basketball program offers a balanced training plan under the guidance of qualified professionals. In the classes, students focus on improving their game skills: dribbling, shooting, passing, and defense, learning theory, strategies, and tactics at a competitive level. The course is focused not only on the development of playing abilities, but also on leadership qualities, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

In addition to regular training, students can expect thematic events: tours of the Raptors arena, guest performances, communication with the NBA team at seminars. Students aged 15-17 can supplement their curriculum with English lessons.

Film Camp

This program is geared toward students with a passion for filmmaking. The curriculum includes four days of classes per week, in which students will develop creativity, practice mobile shooting, and create visual content. Under the guidance of qualified teachers, students will master the theory of directing, camera work and editing, constantly practicing it. Throughout the course, they build a portfolio of work that will allow them to prove a high level of skill in the future.

Future to Work

This summer program invites high school students to focus on their future careers, considering all possible options for modern in-demand directions. For two weeks, students will be under the guidance of teachers and mentors, planning career activities and attending meetings with industry professionals, will be able to identify core values and their strengths, gain the skills necessary to succeed in their chosen field of work.

The curriculum looks at the top 25 careers of the future – and the educational paths that lead to them. Students will master an introduction to entrepreneurship through project-based work, gaining the development of creative skills, problem-solving abilities, and the use of real-world methods to achieve success.

Camp Leaders

Counsellor-at-Education Level 1 (CLIT 1) is a great opportunity for teens who have enjoyed camping and want to take on leadership roles. This dynamic course enables former campers to develop vital leadership skills, from team management and conflict resolution to creative activity planning. Students will take part in training, skills development, personal growth and mentoring, after which they will be able to take a place in the ranks of Tamwood employees.

Students will need three steps to reach the goal: in the first two weeks, they will study leadership skills, then focus on building a leadership diploma for eight weeks, and then move on to paid work as a counselor in camps.

Tamwood&ILAC Season Camps

• The duration of the educational course is from one week.

In cooperation with ILAC, the language center offers seasonal camps for high school students, the program of the camp is represented by:

• 30 English lessons per week;
• Leisure activities on campus, excursions;
• Study materials;
• Accommodation with three meals a day;
• Round-the-clock support for ILAC employees;
• Airport Transfers;
• Public transport card for $50 CAD;
• Program Certificate.

Students can choose the length of study to achieve their goal in learning English. Adapting to the abilities of each of the language groups, the curriculum offers interactive teaching methods that help students absorb academic material more effectively and use English more confidently in conversation. Excursions and campus activities help them in regular practice: students participate in group projects, visit iconic sights and entertainment centers, interact with local residents and educators.

Study&Work Programs

• The duration of the educational program is 7 months or one year.

Study & Work programs taught in Vancouver offer foreign students to master theory and gain practical skills in popular areas:

• UI design.

The student can choose the intensity of their studies: mastering the program in seven months or smoother, step-by-step learning throughout the year. Upon completion of any of the formats, each student receives a graduation diploma confirming the knowledge and skills.

The curriculum of the programs implies not only classroom education, but also an internship for successful completion of the course. After gaining professional skills on the basis of a partner organization, students focus on an individual project, which will serve as a decisive factor in obtaining a diploma.
