Summer Explorer

  • Age - from 11 to 17 years,
  • The training period is two weeks.

The Summer Explorer program is aimed at developing the basic skills of the English language: speaking, listening, writing and reading through projects, interactive teaching methods. Students are divided into groups of up to six people and explore a topic that is different from that of the other team. This approach helps students to unite, learn to work together and improve their knowledge in a certain interesting area.

The program of activities is an integral part of the course, as it is during extracurricular hours and excursions that children gain confidence in using English. Day electives effectively affect speaking skills, correct pronunciation and vocabulary improvement.

Global Skills Programme

  • Age - from 11 to 13 years,
  • The duration of training is from two to four weeks.

Global Skills Programme is a rather challenging language program that will improve your learning skills and give you an idea of passing exams at a British boarding school.

A course for students in their middle school years, giving them a taste of life at a British boarding school. This immersive programme is centred around CLIL (Content Language Integrated Learning) and offers the opportunity to study standard secondary school topics, such as Maths, Science and Geography, alongside fun activities and excursions. By focusing on both the language and academic skills required to study and pass exams in an English-speaking environment, students will reach their full potential. Qualified teachers help pupils at every stage, guiding them and noticing successes. Within two to four weeks, students will improve their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills, and learn the basics of academic subjects. At the end of the course, children will combine new knowledge into a presentation on a topic of interest to them.

For a periodic test of knowledge, which takes place every two weeks, students are provided with Cambridge LinguaSkill computer-based exam tests:

  • Reading and listening - 60-85 minutes,
  • Speech - 15 minutes,
  • Writing — 45 minutes.

Afternoon classes are devoted to preparing for the language exam. Students attend lectures aimed at introducing the basics of Cambridge English and IELTS, learn the methods necessary for success. 

Topics covered include:

  • Filling in the gaps with questions,
  • How to Answer Short Essay Questions,
  • Comparison and contrast,
  • Listening to specific information,
  • Time management and note-taking.

Students will also have the opportunity to demonstrate their language skills by preparing for and passing the Trinity College London Speaking (GESE) exam.

Junior Explorer

  • Age - from 7 to 10 years,
  • The duration of training is from one to six weeks.

The Summer Explorer program for young learners is based on the initial stage of learning English - the basic skills of reading, writing and grammar, speaking and listening. The lessons are designed to keep younger students interested and help them improve their level of English during this important period of their lives. Project-based learning promotes teamwork and the creation, development of vocabulary and confidence in the use of the English language. 

The course covers a variety of topics covered, including:

  • My body,
  • You and me
  • Food & Nutrition,
  • Amazing animals.

Activities led by a special supervisor give teens the opportunity to discover new interests and improve their English at the same time. A wide variety of activities, including academic ones, contribute to a fluent conversational level of linguistics. 

In the evening, students also have a program of events, which includes various social events: competitions, detective and intellectual games, movie nights.

Summer School Bell Tudor Hall is a well-respected school with a long history located in the Oxfordshire countryside. The institution was founded in 1850 and has been operating at its present location since 1946. During the summer months, exciting courses are held on its campus aimed at improving your English language skills.

The school provides not only high-quality programs, but also a variety of amenities: comfortable boarding, educational and leisure infrastructure, extracurricular activities and much more. The teaching staff of the summer courses consists of young and modern native speakers who quickly find an individual approach to each pupil and make his pastime on campus fun, safe and productive.

Accommodation, meals, prices

For boys and girls, there are separate residential blocks on the territory, each of which is assigned a special educator who provides round-the-clock supervision and care throughout the entire time of residence on campus. Students are provided with single or dormitory bedrooms with bunk beds, wardrobes, a chest of drawers and a workplace for each.   Dormitories can accommodate 2 to 5 and, in rare cases, up to 8 students of the same sex. Whenever possible, staff "mix" students from different countries so that they can practice spoken English and learn about other cultures and customs.

Bathrooms are located throughout the building and are divided by gender and age, not allowing children of different sexes of younger and older groups in the same room.

All rooms are regularly cleaned, and the bedrooms are changed weekly with bed linen. Despite this, students need to maintain cleanliness in their sleeping area on their own. A free laundry service is provided once a week.

Each residential block has a dedicated educator who ensures the safety and well-being of students when they are out of class.
All children will attend daily home meetings where they will have the opportunity to discuss their achievements with caregivers and share any concerns.

There is a curfew in residential blocks: from 22:30 to 23:00. After this time, residents are not allowed to leave their rooms and turn on the lights.

Students live in a full board format - they are provided with three meals a day: breakfasts, lunches and dinners in the school cafeteria. During the excursion days, children are provided with a packed lunch. Meals are prepared according to a varied menu, which combines hot and cold dishes from different cuisines of the world.

Students can spend a variety of extracurricular time: devote time to their hobbies, staying in a boarding house, attend campus events or clubs. The institution offers the development of sports and creative skills:

The campus of the institution is located in the countryside, the atmosphere in which is conducive to solitude with nature, peace and concentration.
