What makes English so special for families from all over the world?

In 2023, statistics show there are about 1.5 billion people around the world who speak English both natively and as a second language. English is the global language for business, tourism, aviation, sciences, and media (to name a few).

Educational process

Studio Cambridge adult courses feature a well-structured system of assessment and programme adaptation:

  • Upon enrolment, the student takes a placement test — based on its results, they are placed in a group of the appropriate level.
  • Throughout the course, the teacher conducts weekly progress tests, and at the end — a final test to compare the achieved result with the initial level.
  • Individual consultations help identify strengths and weaknesses and draw up a personal study plan.
  • Lessons are built on authentic materials — videos, news, articles — rather than a single textbook. This allows the programme to be tailored to the interests of the group. Only English is used in class.
  • If there is no group available at the appropriate level for a student, they are offered individual lessons on the formula "one individual lesson = three group lessons" — at no additional cost.
  • Additional materials are available for self-study: graded readers with audio, study guides, grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation programmes, as well as films.

Faculties and colleges

The course structure of the Studio Cambridge group is built on 6 levels of English proficiency (from beginner to advanced), corresponding to the CEFR scale (A1–C2) and approximately aligned with the Cambridge scales, the English language test, and TOEFL. Based on these levels, courses in general and intensive English for adults, individual lessons, exam preparation courses, family courses, as well as themed summer camps for children and teenagers (including Sir Henry) are formed.
