General English

  • Age — from 13 to 20 years old,
  • Duration of study 2 or 3 weeks.

Before checking into the St. John's University camp campus, foreign students take an online test. Based on its results, teenagers and adults are sent to groups — taking into account their initial level of English proficiency.

The academic program of the summer shift includes 15 hours of English classes per week. All necessary teaching materials — both basic and additional digital resources — are issued to students on site.

Groups are formed in small sizes, averaging 15 people: this allows you to provide personal attention to each student and create a comfortable learning environment.

At the end of the summer shift, each student receives a certificate from the organizers: this document can become a valuable addition to the portfolio, especially for those who plan to enroll in foreign schools, colleges or universities.

Experience

  • Age — from 13 to 20 years old,
  • Course duration 2 or 3 weeks.

A two-week camp session at St. John's University offers a diverse excursion route that includes trips outside of New York and an intensive city program.

  • First, students choose one of two weekend trips (2 days + 1 night): either a trip to Niagara Falls with tickets for the Maid of the Mist boat tour, or a trip to Boston. In both cases, transportation from New York is already included in the cost.
  • Next, there is a two-day trip to Washington, D.C., with an intermediate stop in Philadelphia. As part of this program, guests of America visit one of two museums (optional) — the American History Museum or the Natural History Museum, and participate in a tour of local monuments. Transportation from New York is already included in the cost.
  • The program concludes with a series of five day trips around New York: students will visit the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and Immigration Museum, and MET Metropolitan Museum of Art.

A three-week camp session includes all activities of the fourteen-day program, and expands the excursion route at the expense of additional visits to New York museums. International students will be able to take two excursions to the Guggenheim Museum and take a walk in the Whitney Museum.

All excursions, except for independent walks as part of the three-week program, are conducted with camp staff, who also organize all routes: purchase tickets for excursions and book private buses for long trips. Planned entertainment activities are already included in the cost of the summer program.
