Toddler Group, Activities for toddlers

For the youngest pupils, one-day classes are organized once or twice a week during the school year. Depending on the interests of the student, you can choose a specialized course or attend lessons in all the proposed areas:
- Bright Beginnings (12 months to 4 years old) – music and singing lessons,
- Bright Explorers (2 to 4 years old) – outdoor activities at the Forest School.
International children are under the supervision of qualified teachers and mentors who pay individual attention to each pupil. Focusing on the all-round development and discovery of students' talent, they help students adapt to a new environment and love learning.
Nursery&Pre-Prep

The SCS preschool department includes three age groups:
- Nursery — kindergarten;
- Reception — preparatory groups;
- 1-2 Grades.
The curriculum of all stages is based on a game approach to the study of mathematics, English and natural sciences, performing and visual arts, sports directions. Students gradually master counting, grammar and vocabulary, reading and writing, develop vital social and personal skills, creating a strong knowledge base for further learning. Classes are held in small groups both in the classroom and in the Forest School, thanks to which students study the environment, participate in experiments, and learn to interact with each other.
In grades 1-2, students study the main subjects in more depth, doing weekly homework. This approach prepares them for a more rigorous academic environment, while giving them time to absorb the learning material and develop in extracurricular activities.
Prep School: 3-8 Grades

The Prep stage at SCS spans grades 3-8, offering a balanced curriculum with an interdisciplinary approach to subject learning. Students gain a lot of knowledge and opportunities to develop creative skills by attending classes in disciplines such as:
- Humanities: History, Geography, Religious Studies;
- STEAM: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Computer Science;
- Languages: English and French;
- Art: ceramics, fabric design, printing, sewing and other areas;
- Music art;
- Performing arts;
- Sport.
Classes are held from 7:30 a.m. to 06:30 p.m., include both subject lessons and creative clubs, participation in sports training and extracurricular activities.

Salisbury Cathedral School, founded in 1091, has a centuries-old history and reverently preserves traditions. The school has changed campuses several times and has merged with other educational institutions in order to offer high-quality education to preparatory, primary and secondary school children. Accommodation, meals, prices
The residence offers comfortable accommodation for 45 students in grades 3-8. Boys are accommodated downstairs and girls are upstairs, occupying multi-bed rooms with full furnishings, bathrooms. Foreign students can choose the format that best suits for them:
- Full board – children live permanently on campus, can go on vacations or weekends at will,
- Weekly accommodation – students stay in residence for a week and go home for the weekend,
- Partial board – a certain number of nights for accommodation, determined and booked in advance before the start of the semester,
- Casual accommodation – available on special occasions when a student suddenly needs to stay overnight at the school.
Students who are in the choir but attend school only in a day format can stay in residence on the days of choral events.
SCS pupils are provided with daily balanced meals: breakfasts, lunches and dinners, prepared according to a varied menu. Hot soups, vegetarian dishes, salad bar, desserts, fresh fruits and vegetables are available every day at the buffet. Between classes, students can snack on homemade hummus with vegetables, whole-grain pita bread, or pancakes. Each semester, the school organizes themed lunches that reflect the multicultural student community, from Texas barbecue to Chinese dinner.
Activities Salisbury Cathedral School
Students can look forward to a wide range of leisure activities organized almost every school day – and sometimes on weekends. Pupils of preparatory groups spend a lot of time in the fresh air, exploring the environment, doing sports and creativity. Gradually, they build a skill base by earning Woodland Trust Nature Detectives awards that develop children's love and understanding of the beauty of nature.
Salisbury Cathedral School has a variety of themed clubs, from crafts and gardening to design and robotics. The list is updated every semester, allowing students to discover new talents and get new emotions.
SCS has been organizing the education of choristers since its inception. Music and singing help students develop a sense of teamwork by practicing and performing together, developing freedom of expression, creativity and self-discipline. Talented students have the opportunity not only to attend group and individual classes in the cathedral, but also to participate in external musical events.
Sport occupies an important place in the life of pupils - each of them, regardless of the level of ability, can participate in hockey, netball, rugby, cricket, athletics and other sports. The school's sports infrastructure allows students to maintain a healthy lifestyle, develop physical skills and achieve excellent results by participating in inter-school activities.
Students of the 8th grade can pay attention to specialized educational courses by attending optional seminars, master classes on entrepreneurship. The Junior Entrepreneur project will allow students to learn about key business concepts and gain experience in applying them in practice. Working together in teams, children come up with an idea for a kiosk at a school celebration to be launched as a business: they will need to understand the target audience, a unique selling proposition, plan source materials, estimate profits and losses, determine prices and provide a great product and service. In the finals, students present their project to a committee that determines the winner.

Facilities and equipment at Salisbury Cathedral School
The SCS campus is a 27-acre green area with several academic buildings, sports infrastructure, and walking areas. Next to the school is the UK's largest Close Cathedral, the Bishop of Wordsworth School.
Senior students are held in the former Bishop's Palace, which has preserved the architecture of the XIII century. Preparatory classes are taught in new buildings adjacent to the Palace. Modern learning conditions have been created for international students of all ages: from interactive equipment in classrooms, a variety of academic materials to computer halls, outdoor sports facilities. There is a full-scale football field, rugby and cricket grounds, tennis and hockey fields with AstroTurf surface, athletics tracks and an outdoor swimming pool.
Admission dates and extra charges
The academic year consists of three semesters:

- Pentecost (summer): April-July.
Classes are held on weekdays in the morning and afternoon. After them, extracurricular activities, excursions are organized, and recreation is provided on weekends, days of national and international holidays, during seasonal holidays.

Enrolment process

Based on the results of these events, the admissions committee sends official invitations to study, after which you need to make a deposit to book a place and arrive at the campus at the beginning of the semester.
