Rothesay Netherwood was founded in 1877 as an independent boarding school and day school for grades 6-12. The school teachs 275 students annually - a small number of students create a safe school environment, offering world-class teaching materials. Rothesay Netherwood School offers international students classes in International Baccalaureate and Pre-IB program.

A 200-acre site in beautiful Rotsey, New Brunswick, on which the school is located, ensures that students have access to out-of-class programs, sports, and fresh air. Rothesay Netherwood School offers students permanent and weekly accommodation. International students are accommodated in four residences on campus:

• Quinn house;
• Kirk house;
• Netherwood House.

All residences have common areas, laundry facilities, and Quinn House, Kirk House and Netherwood House also have a small kitchen. The residence experience prepares students for university life, helping them to become independent and organized. Students learn to live with others, learn to manage their time, lead a balanced life, paying attention to activities, entertainment, creativity, sports and social projects.

An important part of life at Rothesay Netherwood is the programs and activities “Creativity, Activity, Service” (CAS) as components of the International Baccalaureate program in grades 11-12.

Creative events provide opportunities for personal growth and accomplishments in performance, music, and visual arts. Students can join a group, a choir, a student press, or participate in school plays.

Sports activities offer team, individual sports, recreational activities that promote sportsmanship, cooperation, and fitness. In addition to the extensive sports programs, RNS offers students participation in several clubs, including the Duke of Edinburgh, Reach for the Top, Outward Bound Canada programs.

Student social projects range from local to national and international, from short-term to annual.

RNS is pleased that it can award Atlantic Canadian Scholarships of up to $ 30,000 to students who are just entering school.
