The Université de Montréal scholarship for international students partially reduces tuition fees. The applicant must receive an offer of admission, after which the university automatically reviews their documents. The recipient must study full-time continuously throughout the entire program, except for officially approved leave periods.

For undergraduate programs, the amount of support depends on the quality of academic documents and the transcripts provided. Starting from the winter semester of 2024, the scholarship does not apply to independent study, certificates, major and minor specializations, short programs, or the preparatory year.

Support amounts for the 2026/27 academic year:

• Undergraduate, level B — 229.32 CAD per credit, 3,439.80 CAD per semester of 15 credits, or 6,879.60 CAD for two semesters of 30 credits,
• Research graduate program — 353.69 CAD per credit, 5,305.35 CAD per semester, or 15,916.05 CAD for three semesters,
• Non-research graduate program — 251.88 CAD per credit, 3,778.20 CAD per semester, or 11,334.60 CAD for three semesters.

The awarded amount is deducted from the tuition fee.
