MODUL University was founded in 2007 as an internationally oriented educational institution with research in the fields of tourism, public administration and media technology.

The university is famous for its internationality: 40% of all students are foreign ones.

Despite the fairly young age, the educational institution managed to win an international vocation:

• Accredited by the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Agency of Austria, European Organization for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, TedQual Certification Program
• MODUL University received certificates from the Ministries of Education of Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Oman, China, and Taiwan.

Instruction is conducted entirely in English and is practice-oriented: students have access to internships, project work, and engagement with the professional industry. The university provides comprehensive support: academic mentors from the Open Office service assist with program selection, academic performance, study planning, and adaptation to life in Vienna.

The institution also operates academic advising, mentoring, career development, and psychological support services. An orientation week and a mentoring program are held for new students to help them settle into their new environment. Students with insufficient English proficiency are offered a preparatory semester with language support.

University staff contact the student, select suitable options based on their criteria, and advise on commute times, neighborhoods, and how to apply to residential complexes or private housing.

Rooms in complexes are generally fully furnished; premium-class residences offer single and double apartments with private bathrooms, a shared kitchen on the floor, internet, a 24-hour reception desk, and security. A one-time administrative fee is charged for the check-in service, which is waived for students who return the signed contract and pay the first invoice within 15 days.

Extracurricular life is built around student clubs that independently organize events throughout the academic year. Active clubs include:

The university campus is located in the historical center of Vienna on a mountain, which offers excellent views of the entire old city. The main building is made in the popular smart style and consists of several buildings, which include:

The university in Vienna does not have its own residence: he signed a contract with city dormitories in a comfort class, in which places are provided for students in need.

The academic year consists of two semesters: fall and spring. Tuition fees are adjusted twice a year, in January and June, in accordance with the inflation index. For new students, three payment options are available: full, annual, and per-semester.

Tuition covers only classroom instruction and university services, and does not include accommodation or other living expenses. Additional fees apply for:

• A one-time administrative fee for accommodation and document processing services,
• Student ID card,
• Health insurance,
• Visa and immigration fees,
• Personal living expenses in Vienna.

In order to become a student of MODUL University, you must provide:

• Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC) Foundation Scholarship — a prestigious award for academic achievement available to citizens of a number of European and Central Asian countries. It covers 25%, 50%, or 75% of tuition costs,
• Supporting Futures Scholarship — for undergraduate applicants, a discount of up to 25% depending on GPA or SAT test score,
• Graduate Academic Excellence Scholarship for master's students — a discount of up to 25% depending on GPA or GMAT test score,
• PhD Next Generation Scholarship for doctoral students — a tuition reduction of up to 75% depending on the quality of the research proposal,
• MU Alumni Grant — from 10% to 40% depending on GPA,
• Exchange Program Grant — 10% of tuition costs,
