Lyceum No. 1533 "LIT" (lyceum of information technologies) is located in three buildings - at Lomonosovskiy, 16, Profsoyuznaya, 24, building 4 and Krzhizhanovskiy, 4A. Since 1991, the educational institution has been conducting classes in general education, vocational and special subjects, conducting several dozen circles and workshops, sports sections, a video studio, a theater group, a festival of lyceum creativity LIT.Art, rallies, excursions, city trips.

Lyceum No. 1533 "LIT" is the first secondary educational institution in Moscow to receive a broadband Internet access channel, an opportunity to actively participate in large socio-cultural and educational network projects (museum.ru, school.ru, intuit.ru, fio.ru). On the initiative of the lyceum students, the idea of conducting interactive videoconferences on the Internet was implemented - today the experience and ideas of the lyceum were in demand.

• With the support of Microsoft Corporation, Lyceum # 1533 got the opportunity to participate in the MSDN AA program: students master the most modern programming tools and Web-projects development. In 2005-2006. the Lyceum staff together with the Open Systems publishing house have prepared a multimedia textbook for Russian school principals under the Microsoft Partnership in Learning program. This manual was prepared with the participation of renowned scientists, educators from several regions of Russia and school graduates.
• The educational process covers grades 3-11, all graduates go through a 3-year cycle of specialized education in the subject area "Mathematics, Informatics and Information Technology" (grades 9-11), ending with the defense of graduation projects.
• Lyceum students, earlier than their peers, gain experience of study in conditions close to university ones. Credits, coursework and graduation projects, seminars, work on projects in clearly defined stages (application for a topic, task development, interim defense) help to establish interaction in groups engaged in similar topics, and provide personal time management skills.
• General education and specialized studying courses have a modular structure, which allows organizing the work of students according to individual curricula.

Practical classes in the subjects of the natural science cycle are held in equipped rooms for physics, chemistry, and biology.

The Lyceum is enrolling students for grades 3, 5 and 6. Applicants to the Lyceum undergo a scan of educational results in mathematics, Russian and English. Written assignments in mathematics and Russian / English contain a drawing and questions to it: the applicant chooses one correct answer for each question. All three subjects are scanned one after the other, on the same day with a short rest break:

• The first block is mathematics (45 minutes), then a short break.
• The second block is English and Russian (45 minutes).

The applicant decides how to allocate this time, both tasks are placed in one file.
