London Studio Centre (LSC) is a renowned dance school in London that has been providing quality dance training for over 30 years, offering a wide range of classes and courses in various dance styles: ballet, contemporary, jazz and tap.

Alternatively, many LSC students choose to rent private apartments or houses with their companions. There are many real estate agencies nearby offering a wide range of suitable accommodation – this allows students to live in an affordable residential area, close to the educational institution.

Although it is the responsibility of parents and students to find accommodation, the London Studio Centre is ready to provide all the necessary assistance in finding suitable accommodation so that students can live comfortably while studying in London.

Facilities and equipment at London Studio Centre

The London Studio Centre is located in London and is easily accessible by public transport. Nearby there is a library, a cafeteria, a shop, numerous rehearsal rooms and rooms for performances. The school is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to provide students with everything they need to develop and improve their skills: first of all, these are dance halls with mirrors, sound equipment and special floors with spring covering, which allow students to confidently work on their skills.

The school has its own arts and culture center, artsdepot: 10 dance studios, 2 performance halls, 3 acting and 4 singing halls, a library, a lecture hall, a café and a student kitchen, and several social spaces. 

The Pentland Theatre has a capacity of 395 people and is used for classes, rehearsals and performances – it hosts up to 10 public performances each year. The technical capabilities of the theater make it ideal for the development of students' performing skills. There is also a second studio theater with a capacity of 148 people, which is used for smaller productions and more intimate events.

Admission dates and extra charges

The academic year at the London Studio Centre lasts from September to June and is divided into three trimesters, with holidays in between. The entire year is filled with intense education, lessons and practical activities to ensure students are fully immersed in the art of dance and theatre.

  1. The first trimester begins in September and lasts until the end of November. This period is a time of adaptation for new students and in-depth study of the basic elements of dance and acting.
  2. The second trimester begins in January and lasts until April: at this stage, students are already familiar enough with the basics and ready for more advanced techniques and creative work.
  3. The third trimester begins in April and ends in June. This is the most intense period of the year, when students put into practice all the skills they have learned and participate in productions and performances. At the end of the third trimester, there are final exams and performances, which are a kind of test and test of strength for each student.

Enrolment process

London Studio Centre holds a UK Visa and Immigration Sponsor (UKVI) licence for students, which allows them to accept international students into FdA, Bachelor's and Master's programmes, and to accept and listen to students who require a student visa to study in the UK.

The process of applying for courses at LSC involves several steps:

  1. Register to create an online account, specify your data: full name, personal email address.
  2. In the 'Academic Information' section, provide details of all qualifications, including those that are still planned during the current academic year.
  3. In the "Performing Arts Training" section, include all the details of dance and musical theater training, including extracurricular activities.
  4. Upload two digital photos: one photo of her head and shoulders and one photo of her full-length bodycon dance wear. Full-length photographs should be taken in portrait orientation against a plain background.
  5. Indicate personal goals, ambitions and career plans, as well as the reasons why the candidate wants to apply to London Studio Centre; Give details of any additional skills or interests.
  6. Upload two letters of recommendation: one academic letter from your current school or college + one dance letter from a dance teacher. Letters of recommendation must be written on letterhead and signed. References can be sent directly to the Admissions Manager.
  7. Pay the registration fee and submit the application.

After that (it takes up to 5 business days to review), the candidate will receive additional information about the audition.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

For the admission of a student whose education was received in a language other than English, an official translation of the certificate or educational documents is required. If English is not the candidate's first language, they will need an IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent qualification with at least a score of 5.5 in each component.
