Sixth Form

The final two years of study at Lewes Old Grammar School offer students a rewarding experience that prepares them for university. Lewes Old Grammar School (LOGS) is an independent, coeducational day school for boys and girls. Located in the city centre of Lewes, East Sussex, accredited by the Council of Independent Schools (ISC). The school supports local businesses as much as possible by purchasing fresh produce for school lunches. Meat and eggs are sourced by KD Catering butchers based at Baytree Farm. Fruit and vegetables are sourced by JR Wholesale, which regularly purchases locally sourced fruit, vegetables and salads from East and West Sussexes and Kent when the season arrives. All products are tracked "farm to fork". Lewes Old Grammar School strives to meet all the needs of its students, including special dietary requirements.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

  • Junior School: Informal assessment of candidates is organized during the trial day. The admissions committee, together with the teachers of the school, will determine at what educational level the child is and how to help and support him/her.
  • High School: Successful completion of entrance exams (English, Mathematics, Oral Reasoning) and interviews; In addition, it is required to provide references from the child's current school.
  • Sixth Form: Minimum of 6 GCSEs, Year 6 and 7 grades in subjects to be taken at the appropriate level, references from the current school and an interview.

Scholarships Lewes Old Grammar Private School

LOGS scholarships are awarded based on the results of entrance exams and do not depend on the financial situation of the student's family. In addition, scholarships can be awarded based on the student's talents, success in drama, music, or sports. The maximum amount of the scholarship is 50% of the school fees, and the available number and amount of awards are at the discretion of the Director and the Trustees.
