Early Years

  • Student age — 2–5 years.

Learning is built on the British Early Years Foundation Stage system and follows the National Curriculum of England. Classes are held in a play-based format and in English from the very start: building with construction toys, drawing, sports, and singing help develop speech, thinking, social, and creative skills. The goal is to support curious and confident children and gently prepare them for school.

The day follows a stable schedule — from 8:30 to 15:30. Meals are included, and a daytime nap is available. If needed, parents can pick up their children earlier to make the adjustment period calmer and smoother. A paid After School Club (15:30–17:00) is available in Marupe Novads — where children are supervised and take part in quiet games and activities.

From the very first days, special attention is given to engagement with parents and creating a comfortable environment for the child.

The British program includes a strong foundation: English and literature, mathematics, natural sciences, technology, and Global Perspectives; there are electives in art, music, and physical education to support the interests and talents of teenagers. In Grade 11, students sit 9 IGCSE exams. Natural sciences can be studied along different tracks: as separate exams in biology, chemistry, and physics (Triple Science) or as a coordinated course. In addition to compulsory subjects, students choose humanities and creative disciplines, but with certain combination restrictions.

Assessment includes not only final exams but also projects, oral tests, and practical assignments. In January, mock exams take place to help prepare for the final ones — the main examinations begin in April of Grade 11.
