Description University of Miami Summer Camp

Camp programs are developed and conducted jointly with leading US universities, and the first institution opened its doors to students as far back as 1984. The wide variety of the program of studying from preparatory courses for applicants to combined programs is intended for students from all over the world 9-18 years who have shown outstanding results in the study of a particular subject, have remarkable abilities and talents.

The preparatory programs of the University of Miami summer camp for applicants give students the opportunity to fully adapt and integrate into the educational environment of the United States, to develop language and subject knowledge and skills intensively. Courses designed for gifted children involve learning more than 80 disciplines: both classical academic subjects (technical and from the school curriculum) and creative or sports electives.

Studying in camps at universities is an ideal chance for gifted children to communicate with talented peers who share their hobbies and interests, to learn more about an attractive discipline, to deepen and update their knowledge. All universities, on the basis of which the educational centers operate, are well equipped and are ideally suited for high-grade, comfortable and convenient studying.

The pedagogical team of the educational centers firmly knows that gifted children require a non-standard, special approach: children have the right to independently design their curriculum, focusing on their own interests, inclinations, abilities.

The school day is divided into 4 periods, each student attends independently selected subjects and disciplines - one lesson takes 90 minutes (thus a full course takes about 3 weeks, or 15 sessions). Academic classes can be attended all 4 times a day - this is the maximum possible intensity of the program: 6 hours a day, or 20 hours a week. Teachers of the school recommend that children form a balanced and diverse curriculum: 2 periods are devoted to attending classes of their own interests, during the first period a fundamentally new and unfamiliar subject is studied, and one period devotes to creative pursuits.

University of Miami Summer Camp reviews

I want to send my son in camp
Smapse Manager
Hello. You can leave your request directly to our e-mail: We will be happy to help you with application.
Alexey G., father of student Marina G.

Thank you for organizing our trip to Miami this year!

My daughters really liked the camp itself, the program, and the location - it was sunny every day, we constantly went to the beach, the city was lively and beautiful. True, during the trips a lot of time was devoted to shopping: the children are happy, of course, but parents would like more of the cultural component of the holiday and prepare less pocket money. As for the supervision, you can not worry - the administration is always in touch, any issues are resolved within a day (although we did not have anything critical).

The rooms are nice, clean, regular cleaning, the furniture is almost new. The food was tasty, but the "set" of the table was periodically repeated (although our daughter is picky, we can divide the words into two). Counselors and accompanying people are excellent, most are young, and they find the common language perfectly with children.

Now we’ll go to school, see how much the English level has grown, and ask the teacher. But the pleasure of the trip is like the sea, though not the cheapest option for the summer holidays, we did not regret the choice at all, looking at the reaction of my daughter.

Smapse manager
Good afternoon, Alex! We were very happy to help. We hope that next year the situation in the world will be resolved and the daughter will be able to visit the United States more than once!
