Instituto de Empresa Business School

The Instituto de Empresa Business School (abbreviated as IEU ) is a non-profit private educational institution in Spain that began its academic and academic history back in 1997. Currently, IEU University has at its disposal a small student urban campus in the city of Segovia.

This is a small higher education institution that accommodates about 3,000 students annually. About 500 teachers of the highest category conduct their teaching activities at this university. Students in the period of study at a university have the right to take an active part in various international exchange programs, both students and teachers.

The foundation of education is the proprietary Liquid Learning model, developed over more than 20 years: it erases the boundaries between online and in-person formats, providing flexible and interactive education regardless of the student's location.

The university focuses on practice-oriented and technology-driven methods. For example, the WOW Room classroom employs artificial intelligence, simulations, big data, robots, and holograms.

Admissions are organized on a rolling admissions basis — without fixed deadlines, with applications reviewed on a weekly basis.

IE University brings together five schools:

• IE Business School — business school;
• IE Law School — law school;
• IE School of Science and Technology — school of science and technology;
• IE School of Architecture and Design — school of architecture and design;
• IE School of Politics, Economics and Global Affairs — school of politics, economics and international relations.

The university offers undergraduate, master's, doctoral (DBA and PhD), lifelong learning, and summer programs.

IE Business School ranks 1st in the world for online MBA programs in the Financial Times ranking, maintaining its leadership for several consecutive years.

This is a higher educational institution, which over the past few years with an enviable stability is included in the TOP-60 of the best higher educational institutions in Spain.

The university infrastructure includes a large scientific library. The university offers students accommodation in a comfortable modern hostel. There are also places for outdoor activities and sports on the campus. Instituto of Spain itself is considered an active member of an elite university association - “OpenCourseWare Consortium (OCW)”.

Each year, a special admissions committee recruits students for the first year. At the same time, both local residents and visitors from different countries can submit documents and applications. The commission conducts the admission of students on the basis of the results of entrance exams, as well as analyzing the results of the entrance exams of each applicant. The main part of applicants at the university, based on official statistics, successfully pass the selection and enter the university. The total competition is approximately 90 accepted per 100 applicants.

The IE Foundation implements scholarship programs that remove financial barriers for talented applicants. Selection is based on academic achievement, creativity and motivation, as well as the family's financial situation. In 2024, the university and the foundation allocated more than 24 million euros for scholarships.
