Summer Language Course

  • Age — from 10 to 17 years old,
  • Course duration 1 or 2 weeks,

The academic program of the course includes 15 hours of classes per week. Students at the summer camp can choose between English and Spanish. All learning materials are provided to students on site.

There can be a maximum of 15–20 children and teenagers in one study group. At the end of the camp shift, each foreign student receives a certificate of completion of the language course, which can be added to the portfolio of a future applicant.

Classic Summer Course

The two-week variation of the summer program includes 4 half-day excursions to Granada with entrance tickets to the Granada Cathedral, 2 full-day excursions to locations such as Motril Beach, Guadix, La Alpujarra.

The list of excursions offered at the camp includes a walking tour accompanied by camp staff and an academic provider. If necessary, specialists organize transfers, purchase excursion tickets and book private large buses for long-distance travel.

Essential Summer Course

  • Age — from 13 to 20 years old,
  • Duration of study 2 or 3 weeks.

This is a new summer program: it was developed in such a way as to provide maximum academic and excursion flexibility for the group of students at lower costs. Thanks to this, on certain days, teenagers and adult students will be able to decide for themselves whether to join planned classic excursions or not. If they do not want to participate in excursions, they can rest, independently explore the surroundings, choose additional services on and off campus.

The two-week program offers:

  • 4 half-day excursions to Granada with entrance tickets to the Granada Cathedral,
  • A free day with the possibility of joining classic excursions in Guadix for an additional fee,
  • 2 full-day excursions to Motril Beach and La Alpujarra.

The list of excursions includes walking tours, minor students are accompanied by camp staff and academic providers. If necessary, specialists organize transfers, buy tickets for excursions and book private large buses for long-distance travel.

Granada — a specialized private college in the field of art, design and architecture in Spain.

Accommodation, meals, prices

A residential complex has been prepared on the Granada camp campus, featuring twin rooms with private bathrooms.

The college dining hall offers a variety of dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner to summer camp students: the menu includes traditional Spanish food and international cuisine. For example, for lunch, campers can try zucchini cream soup, pasta salad, fried eggs with bacon, stewed vegetables, "patata al pobre" potatoes, seasonal fruits and homemade desserts. The lunch menu is updated daily and offers a choice of first courses, hot dishes, side dishes and desserts. Dinner is also varied: it includes salads, pasta, grilled chicken, fish cakes, burgers, vegetable cream soups, various snacks and sandwiches. When camp staff compile the menu, they take into account the preferences of children and adolescents, ensuring variety of tastes and the opportunity to choose a favorite dish every day.

The Granada campus has all the necessary facilities for comfortable living, however some things will have to be brought with you. This list includes, for example, essentials for hiking:

  • Light and breathable clothing: it gets hot and sunny during the day in Granada in summer, but cool in the evenings. Make sure your child brings t-shirts, shorts, cotton or linen trousers and a sweater, hoodie.
  • Sun protection: the sun is very hot in southern Spain — pack sunscreen with a high SPF factor for your child, as well as a hat or cap and sunglasses for outdoor activities and excursions.
  • Comfortable walking shoes: essential for day trips and walks around the cobbled streets of cities.
  • Sportswear and shoes: comfortable sneakers, sports t-shirts and shorts are useful for any type of sport or active recreation.
  • Swimsuit: swimming trunks, flip-flops and a cap for going to the pool or beach.
  • Light jacket or cardigan.
  • Small padlock to secure belongings in the room wardrobe or suitcase.
  • Water bottle. It is very important to maintain fluid levels in the body in hot weather!
  • Clarify whether towels are provided in the residence at the chosen camp — if not, pack towels for your child from home.
  • Toiletries: toothbrush and toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, hairbrush and other products.
  • Medications: pack all prescription medications that your child needs for the entire stay, as well as a copy of the prescription (if possible); additionally leave instructions on what analogues of medications the camp student can use in unforeseen circumstances.
  • Type C or F forks are used in Spain, so you need to bring a suitable adapter if your gadgets have a different connector.

What not to take with you to camp in Granada:

  • Large suitcases: only space for one medium suitcase and one personal item is allocated per student during transfer from the airport and back, such as a small backpack or handbag.
  • Valuable items or large sums of cash: do not give your child expensive items or jewelry with you that could be lost or become bait for thieves.

In just a few minutes from the Granada campus, student groups can reach the historic center: there they enjoy delicious tapas with friends, walk to Puerta Elvira and the Albaicín district — a labyrinth of narrow streets where you can wander and feel like you're in the Nasrid era. And from the famous San Nicolás viewpoint, visitors to the country admire some of the most impressive sunsets in Spain.

The Granada campus is located in the city center, surrounded by everything students need in everyday life: supermarkets, gyms, pharmacies and medical facilities. In addition, it is ideally situated between three external university campuses. Main attractions and facilities:

Admission dates and extra charges

Summer sessions at the Granada camp last throughout July. Additional expenses include the purchase of hiking equipment and payment for some excursions.
