School for boys Eaglebrook School was founded in 1922 by Hofard Gibbs, whose desire was to combine in one program an academic course and playing sports in the fresh air. The former sanatorium and hunting camp in western Massachusetts became an ideal place for the school, where administrative buildings were rebuilt and equipped with necessary equipment in the 800 acre forest area. In the first academic year, 15 boys became students of the school, and currently 260 boys study there, including about 100 students from abroad.
Among the basic principles of education are a healthy body and spirit, the development of future men’s independence, responsibility, decision-making skills: graduates become successful middle and top managers, speakers, excellent business partners, etc. The curriculum necessarily includes public reports, discussions in clubs, protection of research work. In addition to the basic lessons, boys attend elective and sports sections, including football, volleyball, baseball, swimming, and hockey. The level of sports studying allows students to participate and win competitions in the city and state. Schooling is almost individual thanks to small classes of up to 10 people.
